New to the channel, wow what a video. I also bought a MBP with your same exact specs about two months ago and it's my first Mac ever. I. Am. Impressed! I'm also using it for school (also going for a degree in programming) and it has ALL of the power. I don't do any video editing (yet), but the ONLY thing that makes the Mac use the fan is long sessions of Baldur's Gate 3. Otherwise it can get warm but never ever hot. A fantastic device and easily one of my favorite laptops ever. The keyboard is just WHOA and the trackpad is far superior than anything in the Windows world, but I've always been more of a trackball guy so I use it with one. The only thing that I wish it had was a more compact charger, but just ordered a new 65 watt one with three USB ports on it and it's way smaller so it will travel better. Other than that, it's perfect. Note, I haven't seen the same scratches that you do but I've been babying the thing since I got it, and it's only out of its' case when I'm actively using it. The funny thing with the wear off around the ports, so the paint scretching off the chassis is ... that this never did happen with any Windows Laptops I have ever owned.... and they were all either black or dark grey. This means that there is a dump cheap way to achieve a coating which does not have this problem... and Apple seems to be the only company not capable of using it. This is so odd...
