IMPORTANT : don't make that noob mistake i did, which consists in testing busses with noise, and then forgetting to turn the noise off (but it was turned down so much that i couldn't hear it was still on). This noise, even if very low in volume and almost silent, will REPLACE any audio sent to that bus, which means any channel you send to that bus will not be output to that bus unless you turn off the noise. You will think your channel sends to this bus are broken (because the bus itself works because you heard noise through it earlier) and you will freak out :) TLDR : noise going through bus but no audio otherwise means that you forgot to turn the noise OFF from that specific bus !

06:51 It's kind of hard hearing ONE speaker only isn't making sound, when you blast noise through all the speakers simultaneously... Which is why i still would send noise to them 1 by 1.

Another use for sending osc to a channel (via a bus), which i'm about to test soon next time i use the console : linechecking your DAW channels when you're doing a multitrack recording with the M32 USB. For instance you take channel 01 on the console, send osc to it (via bus), and then make sure there is signal in channel 01 in your DAW project that does the multitrack recording. Then you move on to channel 02 etc NB : remember that for each channel you test, on the console as a signal source you need to switch from the original source (ex : AES 4) to the bus (ex : MIX 4) that sends the osc, and then when testing of that channel is done, you need to switch the signal source back to its original setting (ex : AES 4) It's a bit cumbersome but if you're alone and don't have anyone to tap on each mic on stage while you check your DAW channels, then it's better than nothing. Another solution would be to use some kind of remote device that has a remote control of your DAW and that can show if channels get signal, but the only one i've found so far was some AVID remote app, that worked with Reaper and had good VuMeters, but it was a PITA to install and setup, and it would slow down Reaper big time. Another way would be to use teamviewer or something and see the Reaper project from a remote device while you're tapping the mics on stage, but then again, it's a bit of a hassle. EDIT : actually, using Teamviewer from your remote device (tablet, phone, etc) doesn't seem that bad ! Just gave it a shot with a small screen Android phone and a Reaper sesh that was on my desktop computer, and it seemed to work nice. Gonna try it out in a real life situation soon.

Hi Daniel, One question about the pink noise and rta device. I'ld like to ring out speakers.. I setup the pink noise generator to output main LR. i setup the rta tab with options solo priority on an eG's Rta on an input 1 as rhe mic ( gain channel 1 already done) So i generate the pink noise and showned on led main R meter.. ok So i would like to solo the channel 1 mic to get to it to the mc/solo meter with the main LR meter view. But problem when the solo mic button is pressed there is no more pink noise LR to my monitors speakers. How to solo it and continue to get pink noise to the speakers ? Because i need to switch between mic and main Lr under eq tabs. Hope it's clear. Thank you for your support .. Paulo

Hey. I use a Midas m32 at our venue i started sound engineering about a year ago. If I initialise the console, does it reset only the scene that I have selected or does it reset more? I’m scared to try because there is a lot of other saved scenes that were made earlier by other engineers and there is about 60 of them scenes. And I messed up before as I tried to save a scene on my memory stick and ended up accidentally overwriting the default scene on the console. I love your channel and I learn so much by watching your videos. I also have an another question about my broken dl32 but it’s not that important Thank you.
@danielkharrat2 жыл бұрын
Initialize creates a fresh new scene it does not delete anything from the console and it does not reset anything. You can watch a video about Initialize, reset, backup and restore here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpKrY6iFeNZsi9E

Hey! Thank you for all the work that you do through your KZbin channel! It has been a great place for me to learn more about sound engineering considering i just started 2 years ago at our local church. The issue that we have, with a behringer 32x console is the aisso A channel. We use a stage box and route the signals with a CAT 5 Ethernet cable. One time before a rehearsal there was no signal coming form the stage box and we ended up needing the change to aisso B and now the console shows the A input as red and it doesn’t work at all. My question is: what can i do? Or how did it got this issue and if i can fix it myself or at the guarantee where we brought the console. Keep up the good work!
@danielkharrat2 жыл бұрын
First of all make sure you are using a shielded cable (you can use a normal unshielded one but it's not recommended) Second of all, the AES50 connections: Plug the ethernet cable into AES50 A on the back of the console and also into AES50 A on the stage box Go to the routing page and set the inputs to AES50 A instead of local That's it The red light means it's not plugged to the correct port On the console you can choose if you want AES50 A or B But on the stage box you have to always use AES50 A If you're connecting 2 stage boxes: From console to AES50 A on the first box From AES50 B on the first box to AES50 A on the second box So on the stage boxes A is always the main connection and B is the "through" that allows you to connect another box to it

Hi Daniel, As always thanks for your generious shares knowledges ! With your videos my skill is increasing zl lot .. so, could please in a future make severals deep in videos that explain us regarding x32 Daw emulations about mackie hui /mcu and midi cc with ableton live ? For each of them, what are they ?, what for ?, how to use is ? How to choose ?, assignments parameters, possiblity and limits etc.. No doubt it will be great ! My best for your studies and hope to see you soon on youtube. Paulo

Hi Daniel, One question about the x32 multitracks playbacks .. for example channel as 1 and 2 mono playback from ableton to the x32. If we copy channel 1 and 2 as channel 9 and 10 does it let us get full processing ( amp, filtering, inserts, etc..) to record nack on ableton in same time ? Thanks again, Paulo
@danielkharrat2 жыл бұрын
Yes of course you can but you have to record them as post fader You can either use the OUT page to do that or the Ultranet (p16) page I'm gonna do a video about recording the processing from the channels as soon as I'm done with my university projects because they are taking all my time at the moment

For the test of the physical XLR outputs, why not just route bus 1 to all XLR outputs instead of using bus 1 as a source for an input channel that sends to all the other buses that's routed to the XLRs. Seems rather unnecessarily convoluted
@danielkharrat2 жыл бұрын
Yes you absolutely can do this. It just made sense to me to do it that way at the time of making the video but you do whatever method seems simpler to you. The end result will be the same

Weak output capacitor on bus eight. If your board is over 2 to 3 yrs of age then I would have caps replaced.
