Amie Donald I think did an excellent job of the movements for M3gan. Seeming human, but not human in such a way that it seems creepy. Like the Atomic Twins in doll form. I hear they have her back for M3gan 2.0.

I really enjoyed this film, the kid playing Megan has some real talent. The actors all do pretty good turns as well. This bit with the paper guillotine is a bit silly. It doesn't cut with a sharp blade like a knife. The have a clean square edge that cuts via a shearing action. Not that it spoiled the scene or anything.

I work for a prominent toy company in the US, fine, you twisted my arm, it's "Mattel" and, anyway, our R&D department is actually building a life sized Barbie that is fully autonomous and can connect to the internet via her state-of-the-art AI system. My job is seemingly easy, but in practice, very hard. Every day I have to randomly go to the egg heads workshop and remind them to not build the doll's chassis out of titanium or give it superhuman strength. They keep trying to sneak those features into the product, and I keep slapping them out of their hands like a fat kid in the cookie jar. It's a kids toy. It will never need to lift up a car, or be able to take small arms fire from close range. I get paid 150K a year to do this job, and it's literally all I do.
