M3R @ 2024 Cumberland Fair

Again this year, the Maine 3 Railers Model Railroad Club set up an O gauge model railroad layout on Sunday evening September 22nd at the Cumberland County Fair. We ran trains on 4 loops from Monday, September 23rd - Saturday, September 28th from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the "Entertainment" building near Gate 8. This was a new location for the club this year. Each day was split into two 6 hour shifts with a minimus of 2 members present. Even with fewer numbers in this location, we were able to allow numerous children and adults the opportunity to run trains, chat with the M3R crew members, and use many train accessories.
Another very successful event for our club.

Beautiful, very large, well thought out design. There can be a lot of people looking at this w/o being too crowded. Sure would be nice if the Fair supplied the tables.
