The Crowley Crew - I have a some what important question as my daughters 3rd birthday is coming up and we will be taking a trip to california beaches. i would like to shoot the best video possible. I currently own the Go Pro Hero 7 black, a joby, a zieyhun G6 Max gimbal, a canon m50 with a sigma 16 f 1.4, and 1 rode video micro. which camera with mic and stabilization would you use for run and gun vlogging at 24fps and which would you use without mic for slo mo at 60fps? The go pro with the gimbal and no mic? the m50 with gimbal no mic? or vice versa?!? I appreciate the help!

I have tried this and you're right...after 6400 iso the footage becomes very noisy. The m50 has problems with noise in dark or shadowy places. Thanks for sharing this tip my friend 😊❤️!

Very nicely explained my friend. I use the same method with my Sony cameras and it works very well. I love that you're still rocking the M50 and showing everyone it's not about the latest and greatest gear. I sure wish I would have stuck with my M50 longer and really mastered that camera before "upgrading". Turns out I could have done pretty much all the same stuff with the M50.

Don’t have the m50 but loved the common sense nature of this solution. Ideally I adjust the VND to cope with changing light but there are situations where that’s not possible and I’d rather accept occasional bad stretches of footage than capture nothing at all. The final point, about locking exposure with the * button is well made too.

Pretty cool hack! I would love to see you do a review of the new Tamron SP 1.8 35mm, 45mm and 85mm lenses for video on the M5/50 (with and w/out speed booster) If you have a shop to borrow those from, it would be cool. Your stuff is always honest and I trust it. I’m interested in picking these up, but the reviews online are all about stills (which I would use them for as well) but nothing other than the VC for video. They are heavy so more interested for b-roll and filming not vlog.

You have highlight priority on. Turn that off and it will go down to 100.
