As someone who has minor autism and spent 12 years trying to make myself comfortable in face-to-face social environments (then giving up after realising it would never happen) I understand how someone could be socially inept and awkward enough to not understand these kinds of things, but that was uncomfortably worded. Like, by the time of step 3 in part 1, why wouldn't the two people be dating already? Or at least really close friends. If you've gotten far enough that someone is okay with you touching them like that, you obviously have some sort of bond already and have this all figured out. Don't touch someone on the back. Just don't do it unless you have some kind of unusual friendship or you have been dating for a while. Also, whenever I hear the word "barrier" all I can think of is that m&m's kart racing game I had for the Wii. "Breaking the sound barrier!"

maichiki yiist it all depends on where you come from and whether farming or beef was more predominant.
@ButtonMasherReal4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but chili con carne implies that there is a variety of chili that doesn't have meat, so meat can't be a base ingredient of chili in general because why else would they have to specify that the dish has meat? To me, chili isn't chili if it doesn't have the chili powder and the beans. Other than that, you can put anything you like in it.
@brandonporter85094 жыл бұрын
According to chili cook offs where I am chili is meat and chili sauce. Adding beans, not chili. No meat but beans not chili. Judging criteria is meat and a chili sauce. The sauce theoretically could contain beans in a paste thus adding bean into the flavor profile of the sauce but whole beans in the chili goes in a chili with beans category and the beans are technicially a part of a chunky bean sauce. it’s hotly debated if vegetarian chili should even count as chili cause that’s just a kind of chunky chili sauce.l without meat which isn’t chili. Yes it’s arguing a definition but when you look at competition rules arguing definitions is literally why you have 200+ year arguments over what the freaking constitution REALLY says. And is the basis for intentional legal loopholes. Arguing a definition is literially the entire basis of the United States legal system

There's no such thing as the friend zone, she's just not interested
@brandonporter85094 жыл бұрын
There’s a problem with that though. That isn’t what entertainment tells us and whether you like it or not fiction influences how people interpret Reality. The friend zone does exist as long as the sitcom version of it exists making people believe it exists. As a narrative Concept in romantic sitcoms the long term will they won’t they betweeen friends is Most definitely usuially a guy stuck in a literal friend zone where the girl sees them as a friend and the boy sees Them as a potential romantic partner. Stringing along the will they won’t they creates a Long term romantic arc that sitcoms literially bank on being an emotional investment of the fans so that they can create a massive Ratings bomb with an eventual THE BIG DATE episode. Now this is a fictional concept a trope of a specific type of fiction. But when you make the male character there a socially awkward guy who has no luck with girls you have created a narrative trope of a heroic incel who is the nice guy waiting for the female friend who just needs to come around to seeing the true love waiting for them. Now imagine being an incel, do you have any romantic encounters in reality? No. So the entirety of your knowledge on romance and on love is from a fictional Perspective. When the world you get your information from on love is fictional you believe those fictional Tropes of love are aspects of reality. Not a narrative plot device to create a massive ratings boost in the long run. In short fiction informs reality and if you invoke a fictional trope enough times people will replace their knowledge of reality with the version present in fiction. (You tell a lie enough times people Will believe it’s true)
