Hello, everybody! Thanks a lot for your nice and encouraging comments! I'm in Nice, France now. I will go back home (NYC) in a couple of days. English caption is available now and Czech caption was submitted by a volunteer captioner! Thank you very much! If you like to add your caption to help those who speak your language, click the gear icon on the video, then choose "subtitles", and then choose "Add subtitles." Then you can translate the English caption into your own language. Take care, everybody!

Cooking in earthern pot also helps retain the flavours and the meals cooked in them taste the best :) In Indian households too, many still cook in earthern pots! Thank you Maangchi for showing the vegetarian version of this recipe as majority Indians don't eat beef!
@jakob59918 жыл бұрын
Culture Recipe wait really? I always add Beef when I make an Indian Curry, totally common when cooking Indian here in Germany lol... totally misinformed
@CultureRecipe8 жыл бұрын
In India, cow is considered to be mother as she provides milk, dung to be used as fertilizer and helps ploughing the field. This belief is held by Hindus which are a majority population here. Due to ethnic and religious influences, many Hindu families are vegetarians while some Hindus do consume fish or chicken or mutton. As cows are considered to be sacred in Hinduism, many non-vegetarian Hindu families refrain from consuming beef. Traditionally, Hindu families didn't even consume pork and many still don't, religion and spiritual influences being the major reason. The minority population here in India - Muslims and Christians - do consume beef though. But it is very rare that you would find an Indian beef curry! Hope this information helps! :)

@petertalgaard65408 жыл бұрын
Kevin Summer ...hi...I'm vegetarian 95% of time..in my country ( I live in area where largest southern hemisphere macadamia nut grower is and it is astronomically expencive!!!)..nuts very expensive..I can't buy..so I find myself about every second month in NEED TO DO FAST PROTEIN LOADING...body screams and feel shit..then I eat chicken...please tell me EXACTLY how you define vegan...it is minus dairy? I think..but cheese is my staple food with some silly bread I make...please be kind and guide me now properly into it...I happen to live in Africa too...we only understand 3 days after the fact what GOOD MORNING is and that someone said so...it's a ridiculous place..backward like you can't imagine...it's cursed being here..but???? stuck!...now please tell me nicely first what's excluded in vegan..was surprised re honey..what's a standard healthy diet????..it's can't stand anything re murdering animal to stick in my silly face..tks..p
@제정은-f7j6 жыл бұрын
Peter Talgaard65 Very late reply but veganism excludes all types of animal products(including eggs, dairy, fish, seafood, honey, and bovine/porcine gelatin). Vegans can consume protein from nuts and beans - in Korea, mostly soybeans or tofu. Chickpeas, lentils, etc. also provide a good source of vegan protein. If maintaining a vegan diet is too difficult, considering a flexitarian diet(vegetarian based but flexible) can be a plan B. Typical options for a flexitarian diet include milk and dairy, unfertilized** poultry eggs (which do not hatch), and wild-caught fish or seafood.
@Karicat66 жыл бұрын
This is a late reply too but vegans also don’t use non-food related products that have animal products in them, such as furs and leathers. Some vegans also avoid eating vegan food that has been processed on equipment that processes non-vegan foods ^^

This video is making me really hungry but I don't have any ingredients so I'm just gonna throw some kimchi and an egg into a bowl of ramen and call it a day :P

Hi Maangchi I adore your channel, I look forward to a new video every week. Both of these versions look amazing I love the marinade you made. I hope one day to be able to visit Korea and they all these dishes you make but if not, I can at least try some of your recipes at home. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us. Hugs from Australia

that explains why this dish is always sweet no matter what restaurant I go. It's my favorite dish!
