PoloBoyPrince Yea, he sings. They sing (in order of ability from better to worse): Rebbie, Michael, Jermaine, Tito, Jackie, Randy, Janet. Marlon and La Toya are tied for worst. I list Tito before Jackie because Tito has more versatilty in that he can range from bass/baritone to upper register tenor, whereas Jackie's abilities are confined to the mid to upper registers. In reading between the lines on the Jackson show that feature his kids (3T), they indicate that he is shy and essentially "hides" behind the guitar. That may be why he has led only a couple of released songs until his recently released single, but you can hear his bass tones all over their background singing. Cant give u any info on dancing, lol.

I don't think there will every be a generation that won't know him, but what's sad is, they won't know THIS Michael Jackson. Michael was almost 11 years-old when I was born. There has NEVER been a time in my life when I wasn't his fan. I think I heard him in the womb and came out Mike-ma-tized. I thank God I knew him, but even still, with me being 11 years young than him, I STILL missed some great times. Well, maybe I didn't miss them; I just don't remember them. OH, but I do remember when I was 5 years-old, my mother took me to the Houston Livestock and Rodeo at the Astrodome to see the Jackson 5 (because I begged her). I DO remember that!

Michael was 5 years older than me and a 7 years older than my brother. When MJ died, my brother called me up crying. MJ and the Jackson 5 were a HUGE part of our childhood. We used to beg our parents to let us stay up late and watch them on the late shows, then see their cartoons in the morning. We loved them so much! Even our young parents did. My mom named my third and youngest brother Ben because she was pregnant with him in 1972, when she used to listen to and sing the song Ben to her tummy. AWW! Not to mention them many years our dancing family danced to his songs in clubs, at weddings, etc. THANK You Michael and the Jackson 5. You were an inspiration, and such sweet young men. Bill B Correction: they all built careers TOGETHER...some succeeded & some didn't..that's the nature of the biz sometimes so thank God that each Jackson member had importance in the unit..Jackson 5 wasn't in competition with each other...MJ & Jermaine were the main lead singers in the unit so their solo success was inevitable especially MJ's because he was thee ultimate lead.....but either way, it all starts with the Jackson 5...6 brothers who rehearsed, performed, lived, loved & worked together for damn near 20 years before "Thriller"
@peggystoutemorin452910 жыл бұрын
lawrence worrell Very well said. They ALL had talent. And here is the sad reality: Yes, Mike left a larger-than-life legacy, but he is gone; his brothers remain. Outsized fame has its price. What if they had achieved what Michael did as a solo artist? Would they still be around? Let's remember that with incredible fame comes that incredible monkey on your back. This was arguably the peak of his adolescent voice, an absolute vocal monster. His voice changing must have been such a psychological blow to him, his 73-75 performances were all done in lower keys (there's a few of them in japan on here) and his adult vocals were beginning to mold into what the world would all come to know. But it wasn't as simple as Michael waking up with a lower voice and just singing his songs, he had to develop a new style and method for his performances and grind into the world class performer he was accustomed to being. Such a talented performer!

"Got to Be There", is the first song I heard and fell instantly in love with Michael. My favorite words were " and when she's with me she's home" I truly get it. I love you, Michael from the bottom of my heart!

Yes Michael was God's gift to us and he did what he was suppose to do with his money and fame. He is in the arms of God almighty himself; I think Michael's an angel.

Greatest boy band, imo. I'm such a diehard fan of theirs. I wish I was born years earlier just to witness J5 in their heyday. I love them.
