This is such a smart arrangement. I love the decision to keep the instrumentation small, and to pass the melody between different instruments. It really feels like this was the original intention of the 8-bit Game Boy game. Nintendo's music people are just the best, bar none.
@thatsadcanadian16703 жыл бұрын
I always imagined the song would start simple with one instrument and burst into a beautiful melody whenever I listened to the original 8 bit theme. It really sounds identical to how I imagined it playing Link's Awakening DX on my 3Ds.

Really, that is the brilliance behind the track. It's that it is so simple, your mind runs wild with what it "could" sound like. I think they(nintendo) are good at just that. Too little is too much, too much is to little. They always knew that. I feel like this still implemented today in a lot of their designs. I would not agree with you that it sounds like it could be passed between instruments. But, that is why I love the track. I prefer the original also due to that same freedom. But this sounds nice. I also love that they kept the instrumentals small in sound. I haven't had a chance to try this remake yet. I'll have to get around to it

It definitely sounds like a music box clicking, but toy pianos click with each keystroke. Notice how the mechanical sounds happen with each note during the toy piano's part.

This is LITRALLY the perfect theme for this game. Everything about it. You can hear the key-presses on the toy piano. It's just so good.
@ProjectArin2 жыл бұрын
Such an absolutey touching arrangement.... The toy like sound and theme... The music box clicking as the pieces grind and release. The overall design and feel of this arrangement... It's almost as if Nintendo knew how much this game represented a time LONG GONE.. for me... It's the time when I was just a child... The world was still so bright and wonderful.. and most of all, I still saw my mother's face everyday.. this game was one I played a BUNCH back then. But never seemed to finish. Not for a lack of trying but I loved this game so much that I would play through the first half or so of the game again and again.. the game was just precious to me. It was an absolute gem for that little boy I once was.. the 16 bit version will forever be ingrained in my memory.. but this one did so well that it too will never be forgotten.. Nintendo may never see this..... But truly... Thank you guys.... For all the memories and joy you have brought me... And all the hard times you've gotten me through with these magical games like this one... And this song does such a great job of painting the old old pictures that have faded from memory... How different the world is from those days.....
