Mac was never even in the convo for the big three or should never been either... He was something much more special then just a great rapper. Mac should more be in the conversation of the greatest artist of his generation. He was a true artist and because of that there is not only rappers praising him and respecting him but also artist like Ed Shereran, John Mayer and even Elton John... I'm never putting Mac in my top 5 rappers but you can make damn sure he is in the top 3 of my favorit artists!

Craig Jones Media I'm an old musician and the great ones, past and present, always acknowledge (and access) that which came before their time and synthesize it into something new and beautiful. The Blues begat Jazz and R & B and Soul Music, which in turn begat Rap and Hip Hop. This kid went back to the source and created some sweet-ass Soul Music for a new generation. Thanks, Mac. His music will change people. It changed mine, the elites don’t want people to think twice of their mentality. They push garbage music like Ariana grande, that sings nothing about sex and spending your money. It’s surprised me how he even dated her, his songs was way beyond her garbage music [ that she didn’t wrote at all] . He was top tier a music genius, he died way to earlier.

I know I'm a bit late on your comment, but I think at least for me, Mac just spoke to me on a level that i don't feel I can talk to anybody about. His lyrics have so much meaning and soul put into them, that even after listening for years, I still find new ways of interpreting his music. Especially swimming is an album i can count on to really express my feelings. It really describes my most somber moods in almost painful detail, yet it sets me at ease, because I know I'm not the only one who felt that way. I believe other people connected to Mac like I did, being on a level of feeling they most likely couldnt tell anybody.

This song has a dream-like, magical feeling that can only be describing a beautiful honest love. Mac & Celo ‘s passion pours out from the first note to the last. I’m obsessed with the energy that we are immersed in here. It’s like the song couldn’t possibly get any better, then Celo starts singing verse 1. It’s a chemistry between them that brings this track such low key, yet intense, energy. I find this song running through my head more often than I care to admit. Just the most beautiful expression of talent and of love. Forever is how long you’ll touch the human fabric of each of us, from the heart outward, Mac Miller. From the inside out. His capacity to love and desire to experience pure love is so apparent as is the profound ways he touched so many people’s lives. Mac you are so so loved. You are so painfully missed. Rest well beautiful soul. ❤️

i was only introduced to Mac Miller 2 days ago, when i bumped into this live performance and had me browse through all his work and ill just say, I am a new raving fan. and just learned he's no longer with us makes me wonder how many more great work we have missed because of his untimely passing. such a terrible loss, here's me paying my honor!

Mac’s performance, as always, is so passionate and energetic and not to mention the lyricism. Everything about this performance is amazing

Mac was, without a doubt, a performer… an artist, in every sense of the word. Music theory is what I imagine his DNA looked like. His heart and soul was in every word and music note. When he was taken from us, that fountain of endless musical knowledge and abstract thinking was, in a way, shut off. Before everyone could get a taste of what music could be. Luckily he left behind an almost as endless supply of finished, unfinished, and demos of songs to continue to inspire current and future artists. What Mac left behind was an idea of a new genre of music. An extremely abstract idea of not just dueting with an artist from a different genre or adding a sound from another genre, but instead combining all genres into one and making it work. He did it. The genre is unnamed, but may simply be called Mac. He was taken before he could show the world himself what music could be. But what we got was just as great. His combination of Jazz, Soul, RnB, Hiphop, Rap, Spoken word, with soft sung vocals, and a rockstar stage presence/live rock vocals. He really could do it all and more. Played every instrument and even made instrumentals himself. He forever changed the music industry. They say the music industry is ever evolving. Well Mac, you finished the evolutionary process while the rest were still finding their voice. You were already in the process of the next stage. There will never be another. God made you, broke the mold, and threw it away. Truly one of a kind and, again, an artist in every sense of the word. “They haven't made a mo'fucker realer, Mr. Miller” Rest In Peace Mr. Miller ❤️✌🏽
