A lot of people think this diss was because Tom dropped his name after all these years in that 9min track God Mode, but that was only the straw that broke the camels back. There original beef was 5yrs ago, and Tom did win, it wasn't a blow out, like his fans say, but he did win. But way before God Mode, Tom has constantly used ruining Mac's career and marriage as an excuse to say, "I don't do diss tracks anymore, I don't want to do that again to another rapper" Here's the thing though, Mac is a well known and VERY respected rapper in the battle rap/underground scene, he released his debut album in 2002 and his last studio album before the pandemic, featured Tech N9ne and some other well known underground artists. He started a record label called Black Clover Records, that he still runs today, and he's hosted a weekly radio show in his home town of K.C. since 2005 that's still going strong, oh and also published a book a while back that sold really well. So Tom DID NOT ruin his career whatsoever, he's touring now with Swifty McVay of D-12. Oh yeah, Swifty and other members of D-12 posted on X saying they back up Mac's bars about Em listening to Tom's song. Last thing, Tom also DID NOT ruin Mac's marriage, he's still married to the same gal he was 5yrs ago, and has kids with. Tom not only stirred up a squashed beef, he's had Mac's name in his mouth for 5yrs, lying about stuff and using it to flex and get out of responding to people dissin' him. When he dropped God Mode, I'm thinking Mac said...Enough is enough. Great reaction btw, as usual!!!! ✌💚

There's whole lotta cope going around from Tom fans right now. As someone who really doesn't have a horse in this race, allow me to hopefully lend some clarity. These two first beefed like 3 or 4 years ago now. Some shit got started on social media between them and eventually spilled onto wax. Tom released a diss track, Mac came back, Tom released another and then it was basically over. Tom won the battle for sure but all the Tom stans running around saying Tom "washed" Mac or killed him are wild and just lend more credence to the claim that Tom MacDonald fans aren't rap fans, they're just Tom fans. The battle was close. Mac's diss track was ruthless. Like I said, Tom won. No doubt. His 2nd diss was better than Mac's track but it was by no means a landslide. Since you mentioned you're not familiar with Mac, he came up as a battle rapper. He made a lot of waves in that scene in the very early 2000s. Won a bunch of big battle competitions from like 2000-2005 and then started posting on KZbin. He had a couple videos go viral and transitioned to being mostly a KZbinr. He stopped regularly releasing videos a year or so after the battle with Tom. Tom and his fans claim that's because he lost the battle and maybe it was idk but he was slowing down with releases for a while before that anyway so maybe it wasn't. It's hard for anyone other than Mac to say for sure. Anyway, that's all to say that Mac KNOWS how to battle though. This is what he built his name on and he's respected in that circle. While his diss against Mac was pretty tough as someone who followed the battle scene in the early 2000s it never felt like Mac really went IN on that track. This time he most definitely went in. Hard and fast. Will Tom respond? Who knows. It's honestly probably best if he didn't unless this track starts going viral or something. He's certainly got way more clout than Mac Lethal at this point and he's big enough to just ignore it and play it off as Mac not being worth his time. He most definitely wants *NOTHING* to do with a live battle. Mac will eat him alive in that arena. He could come back at him on track but that's a risk he probably shouldn't take if he's smart. Like I said, it never really felt like Mac Lethal fully bought into the first battle. He's definitely tuned in now. Maybe Tom could still beat him anyway, I'm not a big Tom MacDonald fan but he can spit. I wouldn't ever say he CAN'T win a battle if Mac is fully invested. It sure as fuck won't be easy though because, again, this is what Mac Lethal does. This is his game. He is and has always been a freestyle battler. He knows how to pick someone apart on a track.

I have to correct you because you're actually just wrong. I'll explain the time line for you. They squashed the beef and called a truce five years ago, but in Tom's recent song "God Mode" he took credit for Mac getting divorced and used it as an excuse not to respond to Upchurch's diss tracks. So Mac wrote this diss track as a response to Tom going back on his word. You probably don't follow Tom's music as closely so it's understandable that you missed it, but yeah Mac wrote this song after God Mode was release in April. Which means Mac had 2 months to write this track and however many more he cooked up (Assuming he's about to go Kendrick Lamar on Tom).

I’m not watching this. I just popped in to give you a like and a comment. Toms not gonna respond. He’s not gonna give Mac the platform. I mean it took a full 24 hours for Mac’s video to reach 100,000 views!.He’s just not even close to Toms level so Toms not gonna waste his time and energy on it. I mean, he didn’t come after Upchurch and Upchurch is way bigger than Mac has been in decades. In my opinion, a lot of this was fighting words. But Toms bigger than that. It’s shocking.. too many cold lines 😮 I’m a TMD sub and did listen to some of his music. But I have to admit, he cooked Tom’s entire existence and I don’t see how he’s going to come back from this one. He can’t hang with Lethal lyrically 💯 Tom might have a better chance in a real fight, but even that will be tough..
