Watching you paint is like watching magic happening. I know it's not. But at this speed it looks like a few flicks of your brush turns the edges of the jar from a black outline to reality. Thanks so much for sharing with us. I've been on a diet since the end of January, and your Ma-ca-roons make me crave one! And I grew up calling them Ma-ca-roons, too.

Hi. You sure make want to paint again. I've recently had a studio crisis. A large tower of stamps came crashing to the floor. I have stamps everywhere. Once I get that nightmare from Klutzy Street conquered, I'm going to go back through your watercolor videos and just enjoy the movement of your brush before I attempt my own. I don't copy artists so no worries if its naughty. I draw from their energy and enjoyment of the art. Here I go being weird again, lol. Hugs.

If I could name a difference with student grade vs artist grade gouache, if not prepped with glycerine studentgrade gouache crumbles a lot faster but then again that is what gouache does so be aware of that. An artist grade gouache tends to be more vibrant, Mine is the schmincke hks designer gouache, wich works a bit like the poster paint and is brilliant for illustrational work bc it can be either flat or choppy but it will not be as textured as your average gouache, bc it is not made for that. I love using both for different looks though. My favorite white for highlights is the winsor titanium and schmincke deck weiss.

Is it possible to attempt with any type of paint like poster paint/ acrylic?
@lizziedae914 жыл бұрын
Of Course, since acrylic paint is also opaque it would be easy to follow along. You could also use a drawing medium like markers or pencils if you wanted

If you pronounce the word as macaroon (rhymes with the oon sound in moon), you are not wrong. The French would pronounce it macaron (rhymes with the awn sound in dawn). In the US, many pronounce macaroon and that is how I learned it when I took all those cooking classes in high school. Either way you want to pronounce it, you are not wrong.

@@thefrugalcrafter I originally found it on Amazon, but now I can only find it here. chromaonline.com/products/us/archival_oils. I've also seen some fast drying oil paints I'd like to try.
