Hey everyone I’m a real dude from Australia and I can attest that this guys methods work. I have an iPhone 8 and for a few months it’s been giving me black front facing camera screen and no flash light. Important - I reset my settings not my data so I copied his method and I’m so happy my camera is back up and running . The problem is the ribbon cable thats connected to the flash and lock button theyre one cable and most likely if the lock button still works the flash might have fried. Its a cheap repair dont worry

Disconnecting and connecting the speaker while booting the phone fixed the problem for me. There is absolutely no logic in this, but it did it and now it works perfectly fine. Thanks a lot dude. Btw it's an iPhone 6, that i fixed.

NOTHING IN THIS VIDEO WORKED, what I did to get my camera working was; 1) remove the screen, you will then need to remove the plate behind the camera (5 pentalobe screws), then disconnect the 4 ribbed/plugged in attachments to gain access to the camera 2) disconnect/unplug the ribbing for the camera 3) reconnect everything and test before attaching screen - that worked for me :-)

My 7plus did this to fix my problem I opened up my iPhone ( lord those screws are tiny! ) & made sure the connections to the back camera which mine was loose once I reconnected & tighten some screws it worked like new!

You will need to determine 1st if your camera & flash are software or hardware failure. The iPhone in the video was having the same issues like yours and got it fixed.

I had the same issue and I just fixed it yesterday. All I had to do was buy a new camera, unfortunately if both you camera and flashlight isn't working, then its a damaged camera. My x2 zoom and front cameras worked fine but 1x camera was black.

Hi @macdaddypimpping So my rear camera and flash aren’t working and I’m going to open my iphone to see if the cable is disconnected. Can you give me the steps what I need to do exactly because I don’t really understand what I need to do with the battery just to connect the cable from my camera? It stopped working after falling down straight on the screen, the front camera and the zoom is working perfectly. I think and hope it’s just the cable that is disconnected. Thank you

Sometimes hardware just stuck into certain mode and by disconnect power completely will reset any hardware issues.
