The wonderful thing about Mark’s channel is that I’m learning strength movements I’ve never encountered before. And more opportunities to whack myself in the knees.

Much harder than it looks, need to practice this daily!

This one is a lot tougher than it seems. Tried it last night during my mace workout and it was tough to get right during my first pass. I think it will be a useful addition once I master it - but that will take several sessions.

Thank you. This movement did not occur to me. It feels great.

I was just about to start the mace part of my workout when I checked in and saw this. Man what a great excercise! This will benefit my martial arts practice for sure.

Your vids on mace seriously make mace look like so much fun and are really tempting me to buy one. Seriously if you make a mace program to buy plenty of us would

You can get by for years on his mace playlist alone

That last point about the best way to get core in the best position of standing vertical.....only deep martial artists will follow that one!

That should be a high volume(20 reps+- per minute) workout right?

Just tried this. First minute was crap!!! Then things improved, almost got it. Got tired after 3 minutes and really scared. I was barefoot!!! Pause!!! Two Steel toed boots later I am ready to rock baby. With proper protection!

I noticed this is part of the heavy club playlist. Is this worth doing with clubs, or does it not really matter since we already have swings?

What is the weight and brand of the mace you are using? I like the design.

Hey Mark, I couldn't do this one and hit myself too 🥴🥴🥴. And its painful on shin ☹️. It may be due to the diameter of my mace handel ( I fabricated it at home) or I am still not strong enough to push 5 kg steel mace. I think I should pass this till I get it correctly on wooden stick. Guys be watchful with this one as if you hit yourself then you will definitely feel its pain 😅

Im really humbled by the mace. I recently got a 5 kg steel mace. I’ve started doing 360’s alternating side by the minute for 14 min. I do that little cause I get cramps in my hands. Gonna take some time till I get to 60 min.

Lubricated Dorito 60 min is what MW recommended.

Ohh it's natural to get sore fingers and cramps in your hand/palm as its lot of load on your grip. Go slow with this as you will develop grip strength over time 👍

Yazan I think it’s a 60 minute mace flow not 60 minutes of 360s.

Not related to this particular video 😬 just wondering what’s your thoughts on training in vibrams as a pose to bare foot or soft shoes ? 🧐 and how do you feel about cheat days ?

Can anybody confirm, that it sucks to hit your knees? :D
@UBO584 жыл бұрын
@Lubricated Dorito I don't own a mace, but I made a 7kg gada which I use frequently. In the first trainings-sessions, I was always waiting for the pain in the calves. Luckily it never happened until now. Fingers crossed!!!

Hit my knee with a 15 lb club. Not fun but not too terrible either. Hurt for three days or so
