This was filmed mid December 1955.Al Caiazza was paid $500 for his part and being his birthday was near Christmas Jeanette And Gene gave him an extra $500 for Christmas.

Neither Jeanette or Nelson truly found a place for themselves in television. They each did proposed pilots like this one (Nelson did "Nelson Eddy's Backyard" a few years earlier). But Nelson found a more comfortable role for himself in nightclubs, where he could continue the lifestyle he preferred as he had in his post-MGM concert years, with constant traveling and being away from his legal wife for many months of each year. Jeanette wasn't well enough to deal with a grueling nightclub schedule as by 1956 she'd already suffered a few heart attacks, one onstage while she was starring in a summer stock production of "The King & I".
