Should have swapped in the t56 from Terminator mustang. Good choice on Flywheel, which allow you to rev the engine faster, love the choice on the gear ratio. I heard these mustangs run 12s with those gears.

Yeah, 10 years ago I was still in college. I considered it, but it was a stretch enough getting a Mach 1 for me at the time 😅

@@dannyjohnsonsgarage No, I meant getting the T-56 tranny from the Terminator Mustang, Not the Terminator itself. Some of the Mustang Monthly magazines offered a conversion kit.

@@w41duvernay The TR3650 5 speed is a much nicer trans for driveability and comfort, especially with the power level the mach 1 has. It is much easier to reach and smoother shifting. There is a lot of stuff you have to change to make it work as you may have seen in the conversion kit. Although his mach 1 has 410's, it is usually not fun to drive a long 1st gear trans with less power. I have talked to a few people who have swapped them into their mach 1's and didnt like them. Having owned 2 T56's in my cobras and 8 TR3650's and a T45, I would say I've had plenty of experience to say that the 3650 is the more user friendly and smoother trans. Even having to wire in a solenoid for reverse for the T56 would be annoying. It would have to go to a switch or the brake pedal so it would be used every time you hit the brakes or you would have to manually engage it every time you want to go in reverse.
