Revolution by the Book by Imam Jamil is a companion read to Die N Die, showing how to make personal and community transformation I, too, felt the sting of Ronald the Rea-gun (to quote another forefather of hip hop, Gil-Scott) and knew of his hatred.. As long as H. Rap Brown, "Rap before rap", (now known as Jamil Al-Amin) is kept in prison, whatever is thought of as good and positive in the culture will itself be a prisoner, esp. through Reaganism and the "go along to get along" politics of the loyal opposition Let Imam Jamil's freedom be a litmus test to what is said and what is done.
