My wife's 2023 MME got the 1.3 update a little over a month ago. I really, really like it. She rarely, if ever uses BC but she never used regular cruise control in any of her previous cars either. The move over a 'smidge' feature is awesome-sauce. I think Ford did a great job in this aspect for what it is, but when the 3 years is up we will not be renewing the subscription. Having said that, bring on BC 1.4! EDIT - Aslo I thin kthis was before 1.3, but being in stop-N-go traffic & letting BC do its thing is better than at speed driving. I did not know that I needed that in my life until we got stuck in major traffic in Chatanooga.

Staying in the right lane and letting BC deal with cars entering from the on-ramps is really impressive in this video. With BC 1.0 I avoid hanging out in the right lane when in urban settings.

What prevents me from using Blue Cruise in my morning commute is when I am in the carpool lane. The car wants to center in the lane, but cars in the carpool usually stay to the left of the lane for passing motorcyclists.

I really enjoy it on the freeway. Unfortunately when my trial runs out I won't be renewing, because I don't have opportunity to use it locally more than maybe once a month, and long (100mi +) freeway trips maybe 4-5x per year at most.

One issue I have had on Blue Cruise 1.2 is when the car slows down to prepare for an upcoming curve, that deceleration happens very quickly. Quickly enough that it feels like someone kind of stabbing at the brake pedal, and it's uncomfortable. Can you let me know if the car ever did the upcoming curve deceleration and if so, did it do it smoothly?

Hmmm. Interesting. Frankly, I don't mind having at least one hand on the wheel at all times, as long as I can still tweek the steering (say to avoid something like roadkill on the highway) without disengaging lane keep. Same thing with lane change. Happy to do it myself if lane keep continues once I'm in the new lane. I am impressed with how 1.3 handles the merge lane without swerving.

They need to improve on the speed recognition. It “drives”me insane on Alabama State Highway 55. It is a 4 lane highway with a speed limit of 65mph. I set the cruise to 65mph and every time I pass a state highway 55 sign, it immediately feels like I’m slamming on the breaks to slow down to 55. (I have one pedal drive turned on). It’s so annoying, I’ve turned off the feature and deemed it useless until this is corrected. Alabama State Highway signs are black & white and use a different font for numbers than regular speed limit signs. Some School Zone signs do the same thing. Except worse going from 55mph to 25mph - even when school is out of session. Almost got me rear ended = dangerous. How do we report these issues to Ford for improvement?

In the settings you can set the tolerance for the speed change. I think it’s like 20 mph so it won’t slow you down.

Not worth $800/yr or $2100/3yr to keep my hands off the wheel. I'll stick with (included) adaptive cruise (lane keep, stop/go, etc) after BlueCruise trial ends. I really don't mind keeping a hand on wheel since my eyes need to be on the road anyway.

Ford sent me a message in August telling to watch for the 1.2 update coming soon. October 6th - still on 1.0. They are doing just great!!! Don't really care to see 1.3. It is unlikely I will see it any time soon if they can't even get out 1.2.

2022 Mach-Es have 1.0 right now. You'll know you have 1.3 when it displays a left and right arrow arround the car when BlueCruise is on. That indicates you have Lane Change Assist.

Thanks for giving the preview .. I m looking forward to upgrade 1.0 to 1.3 to support lane changing and other cool important features around stability. I called a couple of dealers to help upgrade the software for Mach E but they are reluctant to check in due to unknowns on duration and other factors. Is it better to wait for upgrade at home ? Ford website says roll out over the summer to all but that is clearly not going per schedule. FYI my ford power up version is 6.1

The dealer won't do the update because it is being sent via OTA. If everyone else gets it and your car is stuck on 6.1, then they may look into it. But right now, we all just have to wait for the update to be sent out by Ford. They missed the end-of-summer target, but it should be rolling out in the next few weeks.

My comparison point is 1.2, rather than 1.0. It's obvious that in 1.2 there are many points along the freeway that are mapped as requiring hands-on (curved sections mainly) since hands-on is required at exactly the same point, every day. Have these been minimized? Is the system smart enough to allow hands-free when traffic is slower even if hands-on might be required at full speed? The other thing I've noticed is that in slow traffic, if for some reason the lane ahead of you opens up, the car accelerates hell for leather, even though slow traffic is in adjacent lanes and not too far ahead. This I find scary. Any fixes on this?? Thanks!

I don't have much experience with 1.3, but the biggest difference compared to 1.2 is that it should disengage far less and will be more confident while it is on. As soon as I get 1.3, I'll do a bunch of testing to include the scenarios you mentioned above and any others I can think of.

It's not nearly as detailed, so I'd say no it doesn't. After driving a Tesla Model Y for the last week, that is fine with me. The visualization in the Tesla were a bit glitchy and somewhat of a distraction.

I have to say I've really enjoyed .. .1.2? whatever the 2023 cars came from the factory... all in all though I MOSTLY use it in stop and go traffic.. its... pretty decent at that, except for the stupid miami drivers that need every opening and dive in just as the gap opens up... but makes my commute a LOT more relaxing. Also really made my long trip (which apparently I am bout to repeat all of a sudden) so much more workable. But yeah I rarely have ever had what I call a disconnection other than when I want the car to do something 'now'... and that was a construction area and yeah both sides dissapeared long enough that it went panic "red flashing" on taking over.. I don't mind the occasional drop to copilot 360 level... although I really wish I understood why they do it for every toll plaza here in Florida (and by PLAZA I mean a thing that goes across the road with cameras on it.... no speed slowing, no gates, no people, no nothing... it just scans the toll tags).

BlueCruise 1.3 is being sent out via Over-the-Air updates. The process is currently underway for most Mach-Es and will take several weeks and about 9 separate updates for the complete upgrade.

it would be really great if users from europe could also use alle of those features. at the moment its completely useless to use it because it cancels every 30 seconds and cant drive a curve and hands free is not even available. when i use lane control im more horrified about using it because it feels so dangerous and the car cant handle any situation. so its much better to just turn it off and dont even use the feature. i hope you can bring all those updates to europe and maybe bring us bluecruise.

The next update you should get is 6.1. That should come in the next couple of weeks and that is the prep update to get the car ready for the BlueCruise 1.3 update.

Oof I know :/ it was super bumpy but it definitely wasn't a good representation of the ride in the back of a GTPE. I should have gone in with some kind of camera mount or selfie stick or something for help bracing. The roads were suuuper bumpy and I was holding the camera in the air to try get a good angle of the screen so I totally didn't anticipate the challenges of filming in the back seat vs the front. In the front I can hold the camera with my elbows tucked in, which makes it so much easier to not wobble around with road changes. I'll know for next time! - Liv

No. Currently, AutoPilot doesn't do lane changes or in-lane repositioning. You can get lane changes with the $6,000 Enhanced AutoPilot, but that is still hands on. In fact, even the $12,000 FSD Beta is hands on. BlueCruise is a hands free system on freeways and hands on system on other roads.

Must be nice. Mine hasn't updated since February 2023 and that one broke the software so I can't turn auto-updates on or off and it won't update any more. Ford support can't (or won't) push any updates to it and local dealership refuses to do anything about it. Call Ford CS and they say "nothing we can do, they're independent." Third Ford in a row I've owned and absolutely last one, they don't care about customers not on KZbin and software is hot garbage.

Hey Good Day Folks. Hey Our 2022 F-150 EcoBoost V6 that we paid dearly for has the 1.0 Installed. I have been asking all over the Internet, KZbin, and even Called FORD Customer Service. I can NOT Get a straight answer from "Anyone" on if our $88,000.00 F-150 is "EVER" Going to see an Update to our BlueCruise that we Paid $2000.00 for Up Front. Would it be Possible for someone here on this Channel to answer that simple question? We have Virtually Quit Using our BlueCruise for a number of reason's all of which have been brought up in this Video Here. My WIFE Refuses to be in our Truck if I am even thinking of using the BlueCruise System due to It's Inability to function Properly??? Myself, I get to the point that I Just Shut it Down and Drive the Truck myself due to the system alerting me to Put my hands on the wheel and taking MINUTES to re engage??? It's pretty much Useless unless I'am on Interstate 5 going in a Straight Line. Very Frustrating Folks. All these NEW Feature's that Regular F-150 Customers Can't Enjoy??? W H Y???? They haven't said but it should be coming eventually. Right now, the roll out has started with the Mach-E. I think if that goes well, it will quickly spread to the Lightning and F-150.

For the $2000.00 we Paid up front because we "Thought" it was gonna be taken care of with the OTA Update Process (and it hasn't been so far) Last Update until yesterday was March 3rd 2023???? We Just received BlueCruise Map's Update I "think" (Truck is at Dealership Right Now), and said Dealership say's there's NO BlueCruise Update Available for our Truck right Now????? They "Could" do it through FDRS, but aren't allowed I guess???? Hopefully what you're saying will come to pass really Soon. Really Soon...... Wow listening to the ford rep, what a dumb perspective for gaining time back, and the weird targeting hands free mode. The system should just require a hand on the wheel, with no eye tracking. The point of these systems should allow you to enjoy road trips. After hearing the ford guy though, man I think they have the wrong goals in mind.
