I literally just bought every model in that line like 2 weeks ago. Been using them as machine cult in One Page Rules Grimdark Firefight. Great video by the way. You taught me my favorite way to paint space marines.

Love the model. Ad Mech combined with Genestealer Cults. And I am intrigued by that first wash of brown over the black--I would not have thought of that.

It's a little old-fashioned by now given the coverage you tend to get with most paints these days, but it still checks out. Just a hint of warmth and shading before you get to drybrushing a big piece like this will add up over the layers!

I noticed that too, on the army painter paint! :) It was mostly sold as a negative, but I guess as many things, it's a stylistic choice to have finer or more coarse pigments. I think it looks quite decent on Necrons, too, maybe beaten metal in general, sweet! :D

I generally paint minis because I like & collect them. This is the reason I like all the new plastic stuff that recently arrived on the market. This model it's really fantastic, his body remember some of early M. Shirow's (Ghost in the Shell) works. P.s, wasn't more easy to paint the driver before adding it to the bike?

@@SonicSledgehammerStudio The pile of grey shame is no smaller but i no longer get the feeling of dread of having the paint the same guy 20 times in a slightly different pose :P , favourite thing to do lately is to print one off miniatures at about 400% scale so they are more action figure sized, planning on doing one from each warhammer faction :) .

Just a little Tyrant Skull, stippled on from what was left in the brush when I was finished drybrushing the base. Keeps it all tied in together!

It seems to me like Army Painter washes leaves a slighly shinier finish compared to Games Workshop washes. Do you have the same experience?
