The Ugly Art is very hardcore/punk influenced while WLFGRL is more juke/breakbeat/dnb. Machine Girl has a lot of older material that has a similar vibe to Because I'm Young etc which you can find on a channel called MG Archive. He's coming out with a sequel to MRK90 MIX VOL 1 soon by the way. If you want something REALLY obscure, anything by NAH (Michul Kuun). He makes experimental hip hop tracks with really trippy production. More weird artists include SOPHIE, Eartheater, Show Me The Body, and especially Stice. Stice is very strange and only has around 300 subs so you can find her by searching her name with "The National Hottie is Still Missing." Hope you enjoy!

I feel like what makes this album is the vocals. Like in most aggressive music, the vocals have a super menacing vibe, like you’re running away from the music. But I feel like machine girl (Matt) sings and screams in a way that sounds absolutely panicked and in terror. Like the singer is running for their life, away from some insane cosmic horror beyond comprehension. I also feel like the character in this album being in such panic makes it so that you, the listener, are the insane powerful being in this situation. It makes the album really invigorating It. also makes moments where Matt is being more intimidating like the closer feel suuuper powerful and triumphant, like the weight is off their chest and now they just get to feel like the fucking goat. 10/10 album. Even after shit like death grips and 100gecs and other modern hardcore had kinda lost its edge for me, this album still feels as deranged and insane and empowering as the first time I heard it.

WFLGRL is another album of the artist’s, my interpretation for mchngrl vs wlfgrl is if you’ve listened to wlfgrl, you could definitely hear elements of that album (mainly dnb rave stuff etc) in the beginning and it merges with elements from BIYAAHEYSF pretty cool if i say so
