I freaking love Machine Head, their most popular song is "Halo". If you do "Halo" (sorry to yell, but I have to emphasize this) PLEASE DON'T DO THE MUSIC VIDEO), the music video cuts off 4 minutes of the song and it's super repetitive. The Blackening is often referred to as one of the greatest albums of the 2000's (the Master Of Puppets of modern metal), it's super thrashy and progressive with some really sick grooves and riffs. The Blackening is a straight up Masterpiece!!!

Opener of their 5th "Trough the Ashes of Empires" album and what an opener it is !! This album set their kinda return to more thrashy songs, while their previous 2 albums are a bit more into Nu-metal vibes. Sort of re-introduction to thrash, with "The Blackening" as follow up and their 6th album, being voted "best Metal album" of the '00's if I'm not mistaken.
