This tutorial is an excerpt taken from my Monday Night Live Demo Series. In this video, we take that simple paisley shape (feather) and I show you how best to travel on a spine so that your feathers STAY looking like feathers the whole time. I also show you how they go wrong and why.
I hope you enjoy this video! Please give it a thumbs up if you find it helpful and remember to share it with your quilty friends.
Thanks for watching!

When we are tense and/or overthink everything, it's difficult for the creativity to flow. It's supposed to be fun! 😁

Thank you. Best reminder is to doodle everyday and don’t change the orientation of your page.

When you practice on your long arm, do you just throw one piece of fabric on or do you do all three layers? Top, bottom and batting?
@whirlsnswirlsquilting4362
@whirlsnswirlsquilting4362 Жыл бұрын
Always use 3 layers when practicing working with rulers. For freehand/freemotion, get yourself a good sized sketchbook to get comfortable with creating and learning designs. It's all muscle memory so if you can doodle it, you can quilt it! :)
