Watching these older videos I think "Why isn't he using the..." and then I remember that wasn't a thing yet and it amazes me even more, how far you have both come in only a few short years. Well done and many more years to come.

Viewing these older videos shows how much Karen's videography and editing has improved. The viewing angles, zooming, slow motion, time lapse, sound etc. have become much more sophisticated and professional IMO. There is nothing wrong with these but her current videos are far superior to the "standard" videos on KZbin. Kurtis's skills are always impressive and not being a machinist, I can't find room for improvement. His work is always top quality and professional. Together, your skills produce a wonderful, educational and entertaining video product I enjoy watching over and over. Thanks!

It's millwrighting so your videos share a lot to do with it, machining is always fun and seeing the metal turn into a functional part is probably the coolest about it. So do you need to polish the external surface of the ram? Is the final cut smooth enough for the seals integrity? Seems that it should be ground to a final diameter.

Hey Mark, the customer sends us a drawing with the required specs and they fit it in their workshop in a pre-made jig for bail arms as they are a high turnover component on scraper fleets. Sorry no part 2 this time, maybe one day! 😎👍

You never show how you calculate your final measurements for the bevel for welding prep. It has to be exact since you have an end product measurement . I’m quite certain you don’t guesstimate it. Also wondering why you haven’t built an easy rest for when you are using the the special portable line boring equipment? You said you put your hand on it to reduce the vibration. Am I missing something?
