Mack R686ST | Truck #17 Restoration Part 14

Working on the Mack R model restoration project. Today we get the cab pulled off the frame, and we get some more small components removed from the truck to be sent out to the rebuilder.

I’ll never understand why some people tighten filters so tight! They just have to be tight enough not to leak! They are not holding anything together! On my cars and trucks I almost never need a filter wrench.

Neither do I! I'm sure it's been a good long while since the oil has been changed in that truck, but my goodness those things were TIGHT! Thanks for watching!
