Mack R686ST/ Truck #17 Restoration Part 7/ Prime, Paint , and Mounting New Drive Tires

Back to work on the Mack R model restoration. It took A lot longer than I would have liked to get this video made. In this video we get the freshly sandblasted rims primed and painted as well as the new drive tires mounted.

I've always been partial to red hubs on metallic gray rims. Always looked the best on Macks in my opinion! That's what I always wanted to do if I ever got to restore an R model. I'm sure whatever color you pick for yours is going to look outstanding!

Wheels look great! Wise choice on color. The truck with a black frame and wheels are gonna pop! Why not consider a paint scheme on the Mack like I saw a 1/25scale model kit . The paint job was done in an American flag that really set off the lines on that r model rig. Just a thought to consider. Looking forward to seeing more done.

I hate tire work. My logging years taught me that. Have to do it but don't have to like it... That color will go good with the truck.
