Now to set up your mixer, the way I have, it will require few cables
2 - XLR Male to Female Microphone Cable
2 - 6.35mm Y male to 3.5mm stereo male
1 - USB Stereo Audio Adapter
1 - 6.35mm Y Male to 3.5mm Female stereo
1 - 3.5mm Y Stereo Splitter to 2 Female
3 - 3.5mm Male to Male Stereo Audio Cables
1 - 6.35mm Male to 3.5mm Female Stereo jack adapter

Hi Pls help...newbie to mixers. 1.Mix 8 has channel 3/4 and channel 5/6 , how does this count as 4 channels. 2. as per 1 above do these sockets take mono or stereo jacks? 3. channel 1 & 2, mic channels... can you use xlr mic and a jack simultaneously per channel? thank you :)

Im new to mixer boards and trying to learn as much as i can before making the jump to xlr for my stream. Im curious why you used a usb adapter instead of just the headphone jack on the mobo?

I use the USB adapter to have my VOIP on its own channel, the audio out from the rear of the mobo is my system audio for games and music. So by using the USB adapter I can increase my discord audio without increasing the game audio.

Hi, I'm using this mixer so I can hear all of my synths together, but theres no sound coming out when I try to play them. I have the main outs going into a pair of studio monitors, so I cant really identify what the problem is?

Is the stereo out the same as line out?

Most likely yes, now Stereo will be both L/R, but Line out might be mono, but it may also be stereo.

you wouldn't run the aux output into a mic input on your pc, you would run it into the line in.... just fyi

I really like it, it works. It's hard to directly compare an 8 channel mixer and a 12 channel mixer. For me the Mackie mix 8 it $50 cad cheaper than the Behringer 1202. It all depends on what you're using it for.

Hey, I'm having a problem where my computer won't pick up my mic unless plugged into the USB adapter, also I can't get audio to come through unless I select the USB as the default. I only got it to work once without it being in the USB and even then both have the same problem of playing all of the audio from my computer so my friends hear everything. Is that normal or is there a way to fix this? I'm using Discord and I've uninstalled and reset Drivers.

You need to use the AUX Send to the mic port on you system. You need to turn all the green nobs down except for the mic input. As well make sure to have phantom power on. And you want to make sure that the microphone settings in Windows are set to a reasonable level. And that the input in discord is set to your microphone.

@@HardwareForGamers Yeah I checked all of that, the wires are correct and I now have it all set up the same way you showed in the video. My mic is is still outputting my computer audio. It's not that my mic is picking up background audio, it's that they can clearly hear the audio as if they turned on the video and watched it themselves. Thank you for the reply.

Channel 3/4 goes to my speaker out. This is so I can control the systems volume. I have Channel 5/6 going to a USB audio device. This is to control my discord volume separately from the system. For this to work you need to select the USB device in discord as your speaker out. Once everything's hooked up I have the main out from the mixer going to my stereo system where I can plug in headphones or use the speakers.

@@HardwareForGamers Let's see if I get this right lol. When you say 'control the systems volume' for 3/4 channel you mean the computer/desktop main volume right? And the main outputs are for the actual speakers and headphones which is separate from the computer/desktop's volume? And I had no idea that you could use a usb cable to create a stereo audio route to have a separate channel just for discord. Like I did know and didn't at the same time was just dumb about it oops lol. Furthermore, thank you so much, I needed this information because I am trying to control discord and other apps at the same time so I am guessing the setup it's similar to every channel in the mixer that needs to connect to every other different app or device? hmm I guess I'll have to try it and experiment. Yes 3/4 is the computer / desktop out. And yes the main out on the mixer will go to the speakers / headphones.
