Sweeeeet bro forreal!! Made it a lot simpler that the countless other videos I’ve watched. Love your color combos too. Instead of using white base on every layer like a lot do. You just proved that it can be done not usin white and it still bright color. Matter of fact it’s brighter than some I’ve seen where they use white for the base of every layer then they put the desired color over top it. To me it’s jus more wasted paint doin it that way and can make layers kinda run together. Would love to see it done with a little more complex design, like if you were gone put it on a car or something like that. My new fav artist bud

Dude. How have you only got 15.4k subscribers?! That seems ludicrous. I found out about you from Matt Hudson (DirtyGarageGuy/TheWorkshop) from the whole Del fiasco. Started watching some of your other videos and I was like this dude is sick. You like the same heavy-rock/metal that I do. You also like heavy guitars same as me. As someone who has no current intention of airbrushing you certainly make me want to lol. This tutorial is so crystal clear and well explained a child could learn from yourself. No bullsh!t you honestly deserve far more subscribers and views with the majority of your content being down to earth and no nonsense. Love from down SouthWest dude.

Wow, thanks mate. I really appreciate the kind words. The subs count is a funny thing, and I can't really get my head around it. Looks like I need to stick to my day job, huh :) LOL If you don't mind me asking, where did you find my channel again? Did Matt mention it on any of his videos? I did invite him to one of my bike shows, but he never showed up. I've not been watching that much You Tube lately, so a little bit out of touch on these. Again, thanks for your comment! Speak soon!
@bradleybatt140111 ай бұрын
@@MackieBass So I found out about you and you’re work as Matt has mentioned you too many times to tell you specific videos where he says off my head. But he has a entire series dedicated to Del’s “Street fighter build” which Matts nicknamed the “HDS” series. In which Matt mentions how Del wanted you to do some artwork on his bike etc. Then Del’s tone changes midway and you’re name is never mentioned again on Del’s video series. Matts moved back up north now. He has a livestream every weekend at like 10am. Would definitely be cool to get you on there as a guest! :)
@bradleybatt140111 ай бұрын
In terms of the sub and view count I think its based off how many videos you upload frequently and to a schedule. Matt would defo know more. But yeah it's stupid because high quality videos like yours aren't something you want to rush to make because they'll be sh!t. So KZbin doesn't work in your favour. That being said people like Matt was also small when I started watching him. So him mentioning other genuine people is how I've found out about a load of people like yourself. So there is still hope. You definitely deserve some more views though dude. @@MackieBass
@MackieBass11 ай бұрын
Thank you for that info. And yes, Del changed his mind without letting me know, which was very annoying at the time, as I spent a lot of time and effort designing the artwork. If he told me what he was planning I wouldn't waste my time. A bit of a dick move if you ask me, but hey, what can you do ;)

It sure is a mystery with them subs. I do find that great videos don't do very well, where the shitty ones are usually very popular? I don't get it.

Mackie, I could use some advice if you can help, it's not airbrushing specifically, but I am wanting to use some tape to go around all the shut lines of my Street Triple, it's a bit of a project for me over winter when I am off work. I could use some advice on brand of tape though, something that will stick well, but when I want to remove it, won't leave lots of residue. Ideally a bright colour too, thinking probably red, or white. Your input would be massively appreciated :D

Well...I can't really advise here as don't have that much experience in that field. Had a quick look on eBay and there's lot of options for vinyl tape, worth looking around I guess ;)

Mackie you absolute LEGEND, ive just started doing airbrushing, bought myself an Iwata CP-HS and 0.3 needle kit and a sh*t load of Inspire solvent paints from custom paints uk about 2 months ago as ive always wanted to have a go at Mike Lavallee`s True Fire ,watched all his videos and yours when you did Delboys Bike and i`m hooked, ive started with a black tin panel too, base coated it, but ive been using Base Red for my first layer and then Candy Red, not white as you have done so i`m curious how yours will differ to mine, it`s f*cking hard Man to get the licks just right ain`t it LOL, respect to you tho brother you make is look so easy and natural flowing, that Candy Gold you have there,, is that the Fools Gold they have on their website as that`s the only Candy Gold i could see on there so i bought that one, i also got some Candy Yellow just in case, i noticed when you did Delboys Bike you used `Fools Gold Candy` on that one, cracking video mate, keep them coming because i love this shit. Cheers. Claypole.
@MackieBass4 жыл бұрын
Hey man, if you use white base you will find it it brighter red, as red base alone will never give you the same coverage. I use Candy Gold, as fools gold is more orange than gold, it could work, but don't overload it. Glad you like it, I may do one for green and blue flames. They are pretty cool too!
