Maclan DRK Tuning Error! | Fixing My RC Drag Car Tune!!

A few weeks ago I posted a video on how I tune the Maclan DRK in my RC No Prep car. I made a mistake while explaining some of the turbo settings that many of you helped me to understand better. As I always say, I'm learning along with you here on the channel, and this is one of those "teaching moments".
I fixed the Turbo delay as well as the Throttle Punch and immediately started seeing some better passes. I feel like I'm understanding the settings of this ESC better now and getting a handle on tuning the car. My GNSS performance analyzer is gone, no clue what happened to it. As soon as I get another one, I'm excited to see what the car is running now!

Did you try opening the GNSS app with your location on and retracing your steps? When you get close to it, it should turn on in a minute or two. If you see the Start and Read turn blue, you're within a few feet. Good luck Really nice passes by the way. Looked like mid 50s from here

Yep I did try that. Walked all around my house and even went back to my testing spot to check (even though it would've been through a lot of rain by then) and walked circles 🤦‍♂️😂. I gave in and ordered another one. Might have to put a tracker on this one haha

I’d roll that slew back to about 4.3/6.3 it’ll really help keep voltage up. Voltage is where your mph is.

I believe you was running around 55 mph at about 2.35 to 245 . Also im haveing really good luck running the standerd size proline reactions tires my car runs Consistently 2.05 to 2.10 at 65 to 67 mph with a drk 3.0 fantom

55mph is roughly about what I was thinking too. Not sure on et, I'd like to think that was an improvement. We'll see soon!

What slipper clutch eliminator are you using

I actually don't run a slipper eliminator. I like tuning the slipper (even though it can be a pain sometimes)

Just start out with their tune and see what that gets you mine went 2.64 right out the gate with Maclan’s 3.5 low traction tune

Their 4.5 low traction tune still had my car spinning originally. After a little tuning I got it to go down!

@@FullThrottleRC did you update the esc? Also break cleaner is the bomb makes the tires hook good are you conditioning your tires

Do you need WiFi to tune the esc on the laptop or do you just connect them with an adapter

To connect to the laptop all you need is the cable included with the ESC

How did you add more power at the end

Mainly by adjusting when the turbo comes in and the rate at which it comes in at. I also was able to bring the stages in quicker

@@FullThrottleRC do you leave the delay in between the stages at .30 and just bring first stage at 50 and how did the throttle punch work for u on Low numbers compared to 80

@@dadon197922 I ended up with the delay between stages at .30 seconds, didn't start off that way. Just tested some things until I got it. The throttle punch set lower worked out pretty well. You can probably see that in the video. It seems to help the car launch smoother and not spin so easily.

Throttle punch, lower the number the smoother it is .. basically all you will notice is about 2 mile an hour gain

I did notice it was smoother. Specifically the launch. Although it seemed a little soft on the launch at times, I can make up for that with other things and keep it smooth.

@@FullThrottleRC the best analogy I've heard is.., picture stairs, throw a rug down the stairs, picture the steps as your stages... if you pulled the rug tight over the steps that would be like zero.... if you let the rug loose and conform to the steps that would be a hundred...
