Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with us! I always wondered about the difference in cords. Great information!!❤❤ What is the most common size of waxed polyester that you use most often?
@Peaceknots3 жыл бұрын
Cord knowledge has taken me a lot of trial and error! I forgot to mention in video that there are many more cord options but these are my favorite. The most common size is 1mm but my favorite is .8mm or .5mm b/c I like to work with small beads such as delica’s size 11. If you are brand new to macrame, I suggest using 1mm or bigger to get used to working with cords, then downsize if you want ✌🏻 Have a great day 🌈

Hello! First of all, great help!!! It´s very hard to find the best cord and suplier. I´m portuguese and didn´t know the portuguese shop you mentioned! Will definitly check them. Which leads me to a question, the last cord is it Linhasita? I find very hard to hold the knots with the malka threads and the nylon ones. Also, the pieces don`t get a shape. They tend to fold if you know what I mean. Is there any trick you can share besides hold very firmly the knot?

Hi Andreia! Thank you, I’m so glad the video was helpful. I think I know what you mean about the shape and I’ll try to make a video with tricks and tips. The key to successful macrame is tight knots so I’ll go over that in the video as well. Thank you for the video idea!

Need help please! I keep macrameing a bracelet for my grand daughter out of cotton waxed cord. When I finish it with a slip macrameing closure it is breaking the main cords of the bracelet. Could you please tell me what is happening? I am new to macrameing. I watch your videos which I love. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 😊

Hi April!! Maybe the slip knot is too tight or when you burn the edges of the slip knot they are creating a rough texture that pulls on the cotton. My favorite thread is nylon from www.micro-macramejewelry.com

which of these chord options give the best fringe option for dangle earrings? Thanks for the info, btw?
@Peaceknots Жыл бұрын
Hi Karrie ! I would say the nylon cord from www.micro-macramejewelry.com. I love this cord b/c it’s so small that delica beads fit perfect. It’s lightweight & you can burn the edges for clean finish.
