To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. kzbin.infoUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

so i had the same problem. at first my airpods weren’t working altogether so i reset it and only the right one worked. then the next day they both worked until later at night they completely stopped connecting. i reset it about 15 times and i let it charge for 30 min. go to your settings then go to general then go to reset and click reset all networks. it will make you lose all wifi passwords but it’s worth a try. so after that it still wasn’t working so i gave it a break and ten minutes later i came back and i was on my homescreen and i reset it one more time and it finally popped up. just try to do these things and keep resetting it and hopefully it will work for you

If the steps on the video doesn’t work read this .. You cannot use fast charging adaptors from iPad and 11 pro models for charging AirPods 2. Atleast for me that’s when this happens. None of the things in the video worked. I just had to drain the AirPods by leaving the case open and AirPods out for a day and charge it with regular charging brick. Just like that it’s fixed. Again never ever use the fast charging adaptors for AirPods 2. I think the pro is fine.

Usually just putting them in the case for a minute fixed it for me, when one disconnected when I for example let them sit for too long outside of the case and my build-in hearing devices (some are calling them ears, as I’ve heard :) ).

Found the fix: put the working one In the corresponding war, then go the the AirPod settings, and click automatic ear detection, which should turn it off. Then put that one back in the case or keep it in, and put the one in the case in your ear.
