R.I.P Ann Waychoff mother of the Nightwish Army. June 28th, 2020 . Ann was a big Nightwish Fan. And every new person who listened to NW, she went through a little chat. And gave them some info about NW. This was her favorite song. And this song belongs to her. I like very much that Gabriel have continue Ann s work.... so her heritage is still here.

The change from G to E minor. It took me a year to figure that one out. The answer lies in a movie called " Imaginarium" that features Nightwish from before this tour started. This song (along with many others) contains "Easter Eggs" like this. Hidden meanings and allusions to other Nightwish songs; such as Dead Boys Song. This shows the depth of lyricism that Tuomas puts into these masterpieces. Enjoyed your reaction. The sound was very good. Greetings from the NW army of SW Florida.

Nightwish fans get all gooey and excited when new people get to hear Nightwish for the first time. And I believe many reactors know this they also get more comments if they are fully new reacting to the band. So that could be why?.

The change from G to E Minor is a reference to the movie IMAGINAERUM...a movie about a songwriter/poet near death and struggling to hold on to his mind, as he is suffering from the last stages of dementia. The movie was written by Tuomas Holopainen, and Nightwish was featured in the movie. Tuomas played the part of the songwriter in his middle years. It is available on KZbin, Free movies with ads. Well worth watching.

It is based on the poem in 52 chapters " Song of myself " by Walt Whitman USA 1892 version. There is a extended studio version of this song with, at the end, a poem as a tribute to Whitman made by Tuomas, the keyboard player and the mastermind of nightwish. Most of these lines you can also see fast flahing on the ledscreen of this video. Bucle up, it goes very deep. Woooh!! Kamusta guys? This is one of my favorite from their Wacken 2013 concert, specially Marko and Floor's Vocals, and did you notice Floor creeping into the mic? My favorite part, and damn, her timing with the pyro is so badass. Then add in the story of Ann Waychoff. When I heard her story from the Nightwish Army, and how Gabriel is continuing Ann's legacy, man I cried, so heartbreaking. R.I.P Ann even though I haven't been around to witness your works 😭🤘🔥🔥🔥🖤🖤🖤

My No 2 Nightwish song. I have Marco's second entry as my ringtone! Everything about this, the timing, the vocals, the effects, the sound Floor, Marco, a phenomenal composition. Magic. My No 3 is 7 Days to the Wolves from Wembley (hint!). Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean from Buenos Aires would be to your taste I think. Gem - the name of the girl in the film Imaginaerum the Nightwish film that goes with the album of the same name. Interestingly the song is named after the poem by Walt Whitman and in the film the girl's name is Gem Whitman. To miss out on Nightwish live because Marco has left would be a mistake, I think.

A great reaction to a to a great song! Adam, you had the your lips pursed and head nodding, the same reaction I have when something is really good. One thought though, can you make the PIP of you a little larger please? I had to go to whole screen to see what was on in the postage stamp sized window in the bottom left corner.🤓 And Adam, I agree with the music reaction scene on Y,T the first reaction fakes are a cancer, and so easily detected when you see the cues (humans need about 1.5 seconds to respond). The reaction scene is a very legitimate and both ways meritorious circle of making less known music accessible to all. For reactors of "first" in their spiel and it's the N-th time they've heard it, if they've something to say, say it or nothing at all. Enough of the rant, and now to the evening's regular programming.😀

Oh, you poor things w the mic troubles! It's a process... well be patient (while bitching lightly)! Some unsolicited advice... don't sacrifice other music just for one band (tho I know the Army.is cast and demanding!). Now, speaking as a rep of The Army... I want to see you do as much Nightwish as possible! But I listen to all kinds of music, and even if it's not getting a ton of views...you might be reaching, with one song, someone who's mind gets blown by something new, or their hearts are touched by something old...all music has value! Maybe do a 3 to 1 ratio of Nightwish and other music? Whatever you decide, keep your heart open and your curiosity sharp! Ok, that said, we pay our respects to the former Mother of the Nightwish Army, Ann W., each time this song is played, as this wad her fave song. So, I tip my head to Ann. And this song was inspired by the Whitman poem by the same name. If you check out the album version of this song, there is a spoken word poem following the song...the last line of which, you saw on the screen behind the band.
