He's mainly talking about weeks of coverage of training camps (teams don't do two a days or practice in pads that much) and pre season games (and the lead up to them).

I went to the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Festival a couple of years ago. Instead of fireworks, they had drone shows at the start of the days. That innovation in aerial displays needs to replace fireworks. The dogs would be thankful. Those with PTSD would be thankful. Those with auditory issues would be thankful.

Don't know who Fat Rob is, but Mad Dog is absolutely right. 1. The fireworks, enough is enough, I got dogs and friends who are veterans with PTSD. 2. NFL Offseason, really it's irrelevant cause ESPN is bored, it's baseball season, cover that til September or October. 3. The All Star Game is trash, fans only watch the Home Run Derby and that's it. 4. Ice cream, as somebody who lived along the Jersey Shore, its insane with all the whiny, overweight kids who need more sugar to make them more crazy.
