Another interesting video, I find not only the making/building of cars interesting to watch but also the way a video is put together When I first tried to make a youtube video I had a picture in my head how it should look and go but when I tried putting it together, what a disappointment lol It's a lot harder than people think (a lot harder than I ever thought) and you all do a surpurb job Thank you

I see the malpassi regulator! Thanks for the tips Lucky, got the hot rod running great now. Turned out I had a solid core coil wire giving me fits with my ignition module. Fuel pressure still crazy but running good and I have a spare in the pickup. Good luck at bonneville!

If you need to clamp or compress chrome parts I use copper as a sacrificial layer between the clamp and chrome I also have a few sets of clamps that I have Tig brazed the face of the clamping pads with sclica bronze I tend to use those for polished stainless but should be fine with chrome It looks like more fast More good 👍

Trying to wrap my head around that one piece nose. More the "how" and order of process...was it done originally in several pieces and then welded together after checking that the front axle could indeed be fished out...was it done in one piece from the get go and then cut the holes larger/correct shape until axle could be fished out? Sorry, I just have visions of trying this and the process not going well at all...I mean you gotta be pretty sure its going to work or you are really, really stuck. Hope you keep adding to this series as events warrant, thanks.

Most hyped thing on this video never got filmed.. XD XD XD About them relief cuts, there was an opportunity to leave that mid section intact, as a wall between the valves. Depending where the sparkplug is located, this wall could direct the combustion downwards, as well as keep the compression ratio a tad higher. And most importantly, keep the flowspeed high after the intake valve. With that full cut, exhaust valve has slight better flow than with the wall cut, but flowspeed from intake drops, compression drops and combustion heats the valves rather than pushes the piston down.
@luckyburton4787
@luckyburton4787 2 жыл бұрын
That is right about where the plug fires. That flow your talking about is usually done in the combustion chamber itself and not the block. Thank you for your input though
@MADFABRICATORSTV
@MADFABRICATORSTV 2 жыл бұрын
Haha Yes I dropped the ball on the filming hahah

@@luckyburton4787 Thank you for noticing! For the next SV project, keep the wall in mind. Spark plug vertical on the upper edge of the cylinder so it points in the middle of the back cylinder wall, and fill the chamber between the plug and the valves up to the block. then carve the passages to keep everything flowing everywhere, and shave off hot spots. the wall behind the plug doesn't have to be wide, it needs to cover the plug about half way around. this should direct the combustion towards the crank, resulting around 5-10 more top MPH. 8mm bolt in the middle of the wall should stabilize the mod completely.
