FILM DESCRIPTION:
In the third of the "Mad Max" movies, Max (Mel Gibson) drifts into an evil town ruled by Turner. There he becomes a gladiator and gets dumped in the desert where he is rescued by a band of feral orphans who have been looking for help for years. When several of them take his appearance as a sign and go off into the desert, he follows them back to the town.

Master Blaster was a combination of two handicaps that equaled one formidable force. Max had the spirit of a true hero, he wasn't about to take the life of a mentally challenged boy trapped in a man's body. Instead Max chose to suffer the consequences for his humility.

Easily why this is my favourite movie in the series. When Max saved the Great Northern Tribe, it was mainly out of necessity since Gyro Captain had brought him back to their settlement. Attempting to spare Blaster is his first, selfless act of defiance against the madness of the wasteland. No reboots needed, his character arc was beautifully completed.

Gonna have to disagree with you. I found the original Mad Max to be pretty bad. Not bad in a good way, just plain bad. How they managed to get a sequel approved is beyond me, but I'm thankful they did because Road Warrior was awesome.

My uncle Brian is somewhere hanging from the dome as an extra. He still looks the part to this day. He said it was a bit scary when the director yelled action and they all had to go scrambling up the dome. Beyond Thunderdome is my least favourite in the Mad Max franchise but it’s still enjoyable in some parts like the titular Thunderdome fight. I had read George Miller wasn’t very enthusiastic in making this one after his friend and producer of the first two films Byron Kennedy had died, plus Warner Bros had more creative control on Beyond Thunderdome and made it too “Hollywood Driven”. But at least he and his team put their best efforts in making the film enjoyable as possible.
