It was truly a magically time to be alive, and to witness one of Rock's all time greats taken too soon from us. I can’t name a single person other than him who’s connected with so many thousands of people. I’m talking perhaps hundreds of thousands, I’d bet millions. That’s not your average legacy, he was a gift to everyone, especially those in pain. I concluded I need to see AIC this Thursday for my own sake. Age is just the number, your soul never gets old. Especially if your soul was tempered in good music bowl :) im 37 and still feel the shit.

@@BigBoss1982 hehehe Y'all are so cute. Give a test listen to Steppenwolf. Did acid at 13 Allman Bros free concert at The Fly in New Orleans. In mid '60's now. Still occasionally do all of it. Funny thing about aging, now I don't feel aged, but folks in their '30's and up seem like baby's. So much more to learn, and that's a good thing. Tragic that Layne was smacked by his girlfriend. Never got over her. And, he's still the best! Ya know, he didn't live one year past 9-11, I'm slightly jealous he got to skip some of the worst behavior in this country. That sucking sound of our rights being ripped away. Can't wait to see what this run does to our freedom. s/k Yep, still jealous of some dead people. Getting hit with Joplin, Hendrix, Morrison, et al, in such rapid succession was a harsh base to work from. Young people nearly never perceive grands and great grands as people who still have young hearts.

I miss Layne Stanley the most out of 90's music. Kurt Cobain 4/05 Lane Stanley 4/05 & my dad 4/05 rest in peace.

Mike is definitely an underrated guitarist in my opinion. He has created some of the best solos on songs ever played. Such a great musician.✌️💙

This is why I love the grunge scene. It was genuine, strictly about the music and the way it connects with people (especially drug addicts & those with mental illness, the people that society typically outcasts and criticizes). Layne always poured his heart out in his songs with a subtle style that made it easy for people to relate in their own way. I was born in 1997, but would give anything to see Layne perform live back in his prime.
