I saw Madalyn Murray O'Hair three days before she disappeared. I was with my folks at a restaurant called Coco's in Austin, Texas, where I still live (the restaurant is no longer there). We had just given our order to the waiter, and I started checking out the people in the restaurant, as many do. We were near the front of the restaurant, and I caught sight of Jon Murray sitting at a table in the rear, although his name didn't register. When I realized who he was, I craned a little bit and saw Madalyn, then Robin. It was obvious they were deep in discussion. About twenty minutes later they got up and left. It was the only time I saw Madalyn Murray O'Hair.

Then I saw her in New York where the president of the Humanist Society tried to upstage her. She shone through though and she was brilliant! A shame she was violently killed and dismembered by the "all loving of all God's creatures " people. Well look up Christian missionary, Graham Staines, that was burned alive with his sons. The only shocker there was the attackers were Hindu's: one of the most peaceful religions, unlike Christianity and Islam.

Really enjoyed this post. A reprobate mind will never believe. The pride of a person that is lost, grows every day to believe in themselves only, and as you get older it gets stronger. It takes faith that brings humility to believe in Jesus, and as you read and pray faith gets stronger and pride gets weaker. As a great friend you can call and ask for help when you ask that great friend they will do it, you have faith in them to help. Pride numbs fear of God and his authority. As Johnathan Edwards said and I quote, "Almost every natural man that hears of hell, flatters himself that he shall escape it".

I’ve seen this preacher man in other debates. Apparently this traveling snake oil salesman hasn’t ever experienced a tremendously confident and brutally honest strong woman like Madalyn!! She kept him up against the ropes in the corner and just intellectually plummeting him to the point he could only revert back into his rehearsed fallback responses.

For a country that fancies itself on being a *"free country",* whom among the freedoms include *"Freedom of Religion",* there are some people who are so intent on imposing their religious beliefs on other people against their will. If Madalyn Murray O'Hair chose to *not* believe in God, who the hell is Bob Harrington the *"Chaplain of Bourbon St."* to force her to believe in God? That's not Freedom of Religion. That's the exact opposite. What's the opposite of Freedom of Religion?

@@sherrib4168 do you believe in any of the gods that people in the past believed in? Do you believe that they were real? There are ancient scripts before Jesus' time telling these almost exact same stories of other "gods."

Concerning the rejection of Jesus and mockery of the Holy Spirit... "He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him" (John 3:36). The only way to salvation is acceptance of Christ as Savior. The way to Hell is rejection of Him. 31:And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32:Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come - Matthew 12:31-32

How was she a hero? What arguments did she possess that haven't been heard before or since? She was simply parroting the same vitriol that has been heard for time and eternity. She wasn't a Constitutionalist, but rather a hateful zealot who hid behind the Constitution. She was motivated by her prejudice against faith and those who adhere to it. A hero she was not.
