On the Halloween topic, I feel it’s either you participate or you don’t. A lot of people say they don’t celebrate it, but they dress up and go out/eat candy or trick or treating….what else is there to the holiday lol that is Halloween. Growing up it was tough to understand, but as an adult now, I totally understand it! Even trunk or treats lol it’s all the same!!

Idk I think dressing as a Disney princess isn’t a disgrace to God. I think dressing as a nun or a priest or pastor would be dragging it, but as long as the costume isn’t offensive to a religion or culture I don’t think god is looking condemning us 🤷🏾‍♀️

As a huge club goer growing up, 100% agree that the club scene will never be as great as it was before covid. People were outside, dancing, socialising, wearing their best fits, music was in tune and going out club to club to club. We’re on a new wave of festivals, bush doofs, day events for artists we wish to hear! This might sound contradictory, but nothing beats going out in your country that isn’t your home country 😂

All souls/ all saints day is a day or two after Halloween celebrated in the Catholic Church, it is a day when those who have passed in the faith are remembered and prayed for. Satan is aware of this day and attempts to pervert and mock it through the celebration of Halloween. I’m sure there is more spiritual context to the two days. But be clear that one is of light and the other of darkness .

The Halloween topic reminded me of the Hocus Pocus movie. As much as I liked watching it growing up since its a famous movie its just like how Joyce said everyone dressed in costumes and said its just a party whats the worse that can happen and then what happened to them the whole room got possessed by the witches. For me it's more of a character thing than ego. Like we all know these type of men are usually cheating left and right. Having multiple baby mamas. If it wasn't for the money and lifestyle women wouldn't be that interested in them. And we've all heard about some fucked up stories about what happened behind closes doors (aka Mr baby oil). So you as a women willingly going into this type of relationship, shows more about your character and how you value yourself. As a woman I wouldn't date these type of men so I understand a man not wanting to. To much headache for me. I like my peace of mind way to much😅

I understand both MJ and Tia sides of celebrating Halloween. Dressing as anything demonic or spiritually related definitely plays a role as projecting Halloween as a wicked and evil-spirited holiday. I think it’s completely appropriate if people decide to dress up as Disney characters, music eras (00s, 90s, 80s), animals or whatever else that doesn’t radiate wickedness. Although the bible indicates not worshipping or celebrating anything that reflects darkness and evil, it doesn’t speak SPECIFICALLY about celebrating Halloween. Think about other worldwide festivities such as carnivals, which also include the idea of “dressing up”. Although those are more culturally based we have to see Halloween as culturally based as well but from a more westernized approach, which is typically why particular cultures are opposed to celebrating Halloween. Regardless, I think it all depends on the context people put the holiday in. This all traces back to the idea of dressing up for an occasion-not even just this particular holiday.
