Yeah… too much blatant Pepsi advertising. “It’s so afraid to do something interesting!” Perfect description.

I appreciate your candid at the beginning. Cant wait for something youll be able to pour your heart in

Lmao I wouldn’t be fooling anybody if I sat down and said “I was excited about this.” That said, I did actually really enjoy talking about it!
@ogur199010 ай бұрын
And it was also fun to watch you talk about it. I don't think I'll watch Madame Webb any time soon however, superhero fatigue is real.

But if I may suggest a way to increase channel traffic - academy awards are just around the corner, maybe that's a bandwagon you could jump on.

We're on the same wavelength. I was thinking of doing a super simple/unscripted best picture rundown where I run through each nominee and share a few thoughts on them.

The tweet that became the review, that in the lightest timeline happened....Man Madam Web Terminator is the ultimate mashup. I could have at least done with some respect for the 180 rule, unless they were doing it to imply some scenes were actually visions...and way less vocal fry. If any Sony movie was fitting for having the Trailer not in the movie, it makes scene in this one. That said I am glad they are taking risks and writing characters that otherwise most would never even hear of...I just wish the writing was stronger. You are correct about the complex/Simple axiom. Freaken Film Noir Horror Spiderman. yes. Lets gooo. Interaction complete. Hear me o great Algorithmos! Feast upon my interactions and open the gates of recommendations that thou might satiate thine thirst upon the comment section.

I actually didn’t mind the 180 degree stuff as much as I thought I would. I’m a sucker for formal staging, but a lot of projects break that rule now so it’s whatever to me. So long as something else helps us understand the space of a scene/there’s a reason for it getting broken, it’s fine to me

@@NicheCaesar well considered. If more can be gleaned than I agree.

The movie industry feels like it’s been taken over by people who were previously successful in canned goods. That’s the only way I can articulate it, especially Sony movies. They ain’t films. They’re facsimiles of moments from stories lazily strung together just so they can throw something out there and expect the public to eat up unquestionably. Actually no. Superheroes movies have become like the Godfrey Ho ninja movies of the 80’s - hastily assembled products with bewildered leads made for the sole purpose of embezzling money for scummy producers. At least Dune Part 2 is out soon
@NicheCaesar10 ай бұрын
You aren’t wrong, and the ninja movie comparison is so true hahaha. These things are increasingly feeling like constantly churned out mush and, even when they’re fine enough movies (The Batman, for example), they feel like they’re just a different movie that happens to have a person with a cape added to it (so like for The Batman, it’s only a pretty good neo noir/thriller, that happens to have Batman in it). I don’t hate the genre, but I’d rather it either start getting more gonzo, or just let other types of movies exist. Also I haven’t seen Dune yet but I intend to this week! Here’s hoping there aren’t any flashing screens to send me into a migraine like there was in this movie (literally put sunglasses on in the theater and shut my eyes to stop myself from getting a migraine from it)

@@NicheCaesarAs an avid reader of the Dune book series, I have to say that it's the most accurate iteration of the original story. Cinematically, it was amazing and well casted. You're going to get blue balls because the movie ends right in the middle of the story. I understand why they did it though. The David Lynch tried to cram so much into the 1984 film. The new one creates room for the sequel and tells more of the story thoroughly.

@@jeredalmeida1880 I saw it a few nights ago and I basically agree with what you said lol. I think it was just a hair too long for me, and might have honestly benefited from being reworked just a bit (though I appreciate how accurate it was for fans of the book), but it was a great time
