No need to bring love movies into this. For the past 5 to 6 years, movies that are not love focused have been getting recognition and hit too. No matter how much effort or budget you put into a film, if audience don't understand or like it, what can you do. You need to know the trend of audience too and do tons of market research. Would people in early fourties to sixties like this type of movies? Personally for me, I was so anticipated for Kanguva and Amaran movies a few months before release date. I watch all audio launch, trailers, songs and history behind the movie. But when the yolo song came out, my hopes for Kanguve kind of drop. For a big budget movie like this, the plot and experience should be consistent from the beginning to the end like Bahubali, KGF, Ponniyen Selvan and even Amaran and DON. Or they should be able to take critizes.

I saw Kanguva Movie in UAE on the very first day and i personally felt that it's a different story and a new concept towards linking past and present. I personally enjoyed watching the movie and got goosebumps of music done by DSP. I didn't see any reviews of this movie before watching. As I think, reviews and perceptions differ from each and everyone. So, I suggest everyone to watch the movie without others suggestions and don't consider others'reviews. To be honest, in my most favourite movies lists Actor suriya Sir's movies are the most. Like vaaranam aayiram ,Kaakha Kaakha ,Sillunu Oru Kaadhal soorarai potru , Ayan, velu , unnai ninaitthu, 7 am arivu . So why im mentioning this because im not a hater of suriya sir or director siva sir. The movie kanguva which i went to watch in the theatre for the first day itself, i was more excited to watch suriya sir after 2 years in theaters and the kanguva trailer made more hype in me . But the reailty is the movie kanguva is really not worth to the wait, why because from the starting, the present portion scenes goes on talking and no comedy at all, suddenly they'll go to the past without telling what's the connection between the future and the past.A person who lost some where in the world is found in india how is this possible orelse they should have given a reason for this but they didnt tell how the person reached there. The past scenes starts very well and graphics are awesome but that too for just few minutes , after that only you will hear the people who acted in the movie is shouting without any reason's till the climax. The talking time is very very less compared to shouting scenes. The movie doesn't deliver any emotions to audience either love , revenge , anger , happiness , goosebumps literally the audience around me had not emotions connected with the movie while they are watching it. The only scene where everyone shouted is the first entry of Kanguva. And after that most of the time they mention past hero as kanga but what we hear is ganga ganga ganga. The junoir artist (young boy) who is a main character in this movie didn't act well. The boy randomly crying , shouting all the time. The two main characters in this movie is kanguva and that small boy but the bonding between both of them is not delivered well, we don't even feel any emotions. Even from the start in the past scene we won't come to a conclusion whether the small child is a boy or a girl. We all thought its a girl but after some scenes only we can future out that its a boy. All actor's also suriya sir they over acted in this movie, the intro of Bobby Deol literally remined me of Kalakeya king in bahubali movie one of the eye of kalakeya king will be different the same in this movie they have shown for bobby deol, im not comparing both the movies what im saying is they have copied that. And many scenes in this movie are copied i can tell an example, the climax of this movie in present scenes is literally comes in GTA sanandreas bike and flight mission. And in on scene the small boy will insert a knife in kanguva's right shoulder but the very next scene there will be not wound marks in kanguvas body. The villains are not too strong they just go and get killed by hero.
