Absolutely incredible interview. Madchild literally puts his life story into a 5 minute interview, and this is the 1st time i think he's ever talked about how bad his addiction actually got, like him describing how how lived in an abandoned movie theatre with junkies coming in and out, and he was pissing in bottles. Crazy shit. I'm 4 years clean myself from being hooked on oxy's, hydro's and perks, so i love to hear everyone else's story that went threw the same thing.

i am an addict and am in the 12 steps. it has changed my life and has removed the obsession of drugs from my life, had a spiritual awaking and more. Plymouth House in New Hampshire saved me. Seeing people in recovery has helped me and made me willing to change. This is amazing madchild. thank you! keep the honesty, willingness and determination up!

I see this comment is now 5 years old so I just hope to god your still doing well and keeping it clean mate,,I've commented because of what you said about the obsession with drugs and I know what you mean as a while back I just could not get clean as the obsession was killing me and I would just crave drugs 24/7 then one day that obsession stopped and I've been clean from that very day and it's been over a year now and I don't look back..

My entrance to the spiral was exactly the same... i had no clue it was synthetic heroin... and it was far to late when I found out. Dope sickness... nothing can prepare a person for this ... I did not have an addictive personality... I could walk away easily from anything... I could hold for weeks... I was 35 years old when the good blow left town and in came perc 10...I was in detox at 39... thank GOD for detox

good for you madchild .I was listening to your music back in 2001-2002 when I heard it for the first time on the Forum snowboard movie the resistance . Then my best friend died and I always had vicodin and percasets from getting hurt but when my best friend died I went full blown addict with oxy contin and threw my pro snow boarding away all my sponsors dropped me and this was at the same time I heard you were going threw opiate addiction 2006-2011 ,I was too but I also stoped doing oxy contin and went to heroin cause it was cheaper .Now I'm clean though and have a 3 year old son and wife .Also when I heard you were going through opiate addiction the same time as me and started to get help around mid 2010 it also helped me make the decision to get help .Just knowing you were trying to get help and stay clean when I would listen to your music it would inspire me to also get clean and helped get through rehab by listening to your music .Thanks bro

Word home mad props for on Makin it to the other side . I'm stuck on methadone due to a bad run with heroin and it is THE HARDEST thing a human can go thru - the ultimate test- the closest to hell you can be in . Lost souls of old friends/Family/strangers trying to pull you back in to the depths . it's impossible for anyone to fully explain the pain, even doing it yourself , the only way you can tell an addict is listen to him/her try to explain it and you can sense the frustration trying to find the right words but can't , it's unexplainable . Anyway mad rant - I'll kick it to man . See you on the other side . MAD PROPS

Justin Almeida im sorry but id have to say a full blown benzo withdrawal tops that easily and thats still not the worst that can happen life can be much much harder than that for some believe that
@justinalmeida73329 жыл бұрын
I know man , I know . My brother is addicted to benzo's man I feel for him. And you can say that any handful of life's situations can be worse. I was just sharing my experience with heroin , being homless, having a huge family that's super connected and watching everyone turn their back when I was begging for help, I was homeless for 3 years. My girl had a home with her parents but chose to be on the streets with me. If it wasn't for her I'd be dead. Just some advice. Instead of trying to start a debate about something you feel is worse, better, or worth talking about more. Give the individual some credit for making it through his or her problem first before coming out of the closet with a dick in your mouth trying to say ... oh well this dick in my mouth is way worse bro. Thanks for the chat tho wesnik, I'm up chillin with my baby boy, 1 month old, listening to my girl sing taylor fucking swift , getting ready to go to the clinic, life gets better bro. In the WORST situations. SPREAD LOVE NOT HATE.
@Zeraphym479 жыл бұрын
Justin Almeida i was talking about withdrawal from benzos not addiction thats a completely different universe as u know yourself.... i wasnt trying to belittle you if thats what u got out of it im just saying u cant let that be your peak of hard times in life youll never scale the mountaintops of life that way. Good for you man but im sensing hate from you not the other way around....its jsut the way it is no matter how great of an achievement it may seem personally. Like you said yourself you got lucky with your surroundings....most people arent taht lucky man i had 5 people i know die this year so far from heroin addiction ...or i should say people not giving a fuck. Having your own family that you can rely on is one of the greatest gifts in those times....be sure to take care of that little boy more than anyone did for you being that young(im sure that goes without saying)but a lil reminder never hurt anybody. Have a good one man. P.S: Im all about tough love with pure intent ;)

@bucketoclock4 жыл бұрын
Its not strength mate. Its awareness and acceptance of why you are addicted. Then being gentle on yourself until you can figure out what works for you. For me, i looked at heaps of different youtube channels talking about addiction. I found theo von so funny and useful. He said dont think of it as quitting, just trying something different? If youre unhappy try something different. You dont have to quit. Russel brand explains addiction well. Theres a guy called the mind architect who has helped too. Basically fill your mind with what you want and make your reason to stop massive.
