playing it rn and tbh it’s a huge improvement, it’s a lot more realistic and just fun to play, one of my only complaints is the tackling sounds they don’t sound realistic at all they sound corny

Some of the new things added was in Nfl 2k over 20 yrs ago like gang tackling animations and repeatedly tapping a button to break away from tackles 2k was way ahead of time but it looks like madden is moving in the right direction

Madden had that too I forgot the year but they also had fight for the fumble but they took it out

And the last NCAA football game as well, specifically the quick cuts which were not done on the second stick but your actual movement stick and the precision passing, which also was not a "feature" but naturally built into the passing system and was effected by the qb's stats

Yeah the whole NFL 2k5 is the best game ever is objectively false. It's a boring slow game. Fun for simulation fans I suppose. Not for marketing. The whole selling point of gang tackling is annoying as hell, but people need to stop acting like 2K5 is the holy grail. It's gone and despite the nuances of football animations missing in Madden, doesn't make it a bad game. "It has glitches" That doesn't even deserve a response. "He stood there and didn't block his assignment" It's not that simple.

I do like how for face of the franchise they lock you into your character and not able to control everything. It’s something I’ve personally wanted for years. Makes the mode more enjoyable to me because it feels more realistic

The side missions are super repetitive. I’ve seen the same missions multiple times and I’m only on week 2 of the regular season. While the mode needs a ton of work to get it the classic superstar mode level this is the best the mode has been. In my opinion

In previous maddens 5 or 6 years ago you could just lock onto a player with the click of a button, then they took it out for whatever reason. Glad to see it back in some capacity.

I got to try some of the trial and I've been enjoying it. I've seen some glitches and stuff but it feels like a refresh. Plus I finally got to make a side arm throw with Mahomes so, 100/100 in my book. 🤣 Keep up the work Eric, love the content.

Doing a panthers franchise and I can’t tell you how dominant the run is with Christian maccaffrey with the new cutting system. Also the new passing system is nice. Gives you the opportunity to make those throws against good coverage.

Best gameplay I’ve seen maybe ever in terms of realism. It’s hard to score. No one play scores. Tackling and zone coverage are much improved. People punt on 4th down. It’s been great. Glitches and bugs still but gameplay is incredible

If you can get them to add a feature to run a practice simulation game against a person in your franchise that doesn't go against your record in franchise mode, that would be awesome.

In franchise mode, do non QBs superstars and superstar x-factors have the ability to get more than 2 superstar ability slots? I know in play now they do, but franchise mode REALLY needs that added in.

I think they should slowly work in Something like badges for speciality players like return man that was already in the game or short down backs or Red Zone threat etc or they can make those tags but those all play apart in football & should be in madden it would be hard either

Hi Eric, just been playing the game today for a wee bit went into franchise mode, just went into regular season getting excited started well, then lost sound only playing players and fans voices, my quarterback came out in red jersey for practice, not a nice start. I own a xbox series s. Luckily the 2nd game came around and it had sorted itself out.

At least in franchise mode on All Madden difficulty, the tackling for your team is just terrible. The CPU team breaks every individual tackle no matter which player it is trying to make the tackle (ie. Roquan Smith or Derwin James cannot get solo tackles). I am all for having the CPU offense being harder to defend and score more points, but let's have them play by the same rules as the user team. I also have some still images of my OL just standing their letting the DL blow passed them with no resistance at all. There is definitely some work that needs to be done to the gameplay on Simulation. However, the new passing system does feel promising.
