I mean let’s not act like she’s a victim, people were apprehensive because this space was created by people who are still attacked by straight people for being who they are, often white straight people, so it’s not like anyone hated her, but she was gonna have to show she respected the art and those in it by fitting in and taking it seriously because stonewall happened because a butch Black lesbian, drag king was being detained and a bunch transgender women and cross dressers/queens came to her defense and they started a riot.
