I’ve so been looking forward to this one!!! Becca is such a ray of light. I would love if she wrote a book one day because her story (and her sisters’ stories) is soo interesting to me, and I think could speak to a lot of other queer Southern and/or religious people. Yay!

Becca, you should write a book one day! You and Mal have the best podcast rhythm & flow. Becca you inspired me that there is true love and hope out there. I loved also how supportive your sisters were/are. I am so glad you met and fell in love with Hayley. Becca, you are right life is so so short it's important to be grateful in life. Whoever reads this message and may be going through tough times...keep your head up....be yourself...create a support system...there's so much to look forward to....this world needs who you are.

Honestly, I can understand why a queer couple would want to have a discreet relationship. Whether they be in the public eye or not. Being out of the closet is scary, especially when it comes to family (and especially when that family is conservative).

Been here since the beginning of the "Scrubbing In Podcast" days and watching becca and hayley drop hints of them dating to then finally come out. It's been a crazy and fun journey to follow. So cool to see her now on podcasts in queer spaces talking about everything. Could not have imagined this outcome 6 years ago 🤯❤
@tinalunati50867 ай бұрын
I think it is a really healthy choice prioritize yourself and your relationship before social media and public eye because FIRST you "don't have to" post anything if you don't want to and SECOND I will always have Becca in my heart because she never hide Hailey or herself, just keep it private. And I admire that ❤

I love the story telling element of these interviews. Don’t get me wrong, the advice interviews are nice, but there’s just something about hearing gay stories. I didn’t know Becca before this and I knew of Hayley but not much. The cute stories in this interview made me so giddy and could visually see them play out in my head. Wait Becca was a fan of #Calzona (Callie and Arizona fr Greys Anatomy)...love her even more. I love when Becca tells the story of how she met Hayley with some added layers. 20:01 has me CACKLING😂 That's interesting, this Christian woman dating a woman for the 1st time. A woman who is affectionately referred to as lesb!an jesus by her fans🤣 Finally moving in after 6 years, such a reverse for a queer rel. This is why coming out is an individual journey. Becca's story is a reminder to not out sum1 until they are ready. There's a lot of ducks to get in row for the people in ur life. OMG the end with Becca processing The Simpsons predicting the future...is HI-larious🤣

Awww loved this.... Becca's amazing! I'm glad her coming out was so positive, reminds me of Chrishell's which seemed much more 50/50 unfortunately, I wonder if it would've been different if Gflip didn't identify as non binary, just because that's such а new thing and not as understood. Who knows anyways. I'm happy for the positive and I'll go toe to toe against any negativity! Wish you all the best!
@patriciag60308 ай бұрын
I think the difference is that Becca waited 4 years so even the potential haters understood that it was a serious relationship so they couldn’t really question it. Chrishell came out straight away and I remember a lot of the hate was calling it a publicity stunt or a midlife crisis. If Becca had come out soon after meeting Hayley I think she would have had a similar reaction.

I can’t imagine coming out as queer I’m a queer relationship when you’re famous with a conservative following and everyone knows you because you were on a show about DATING MEN AS A CHRISTIAN VIRGIN. It was hard for me to not judge her hiding Haley but truly she was out in every way except for the public eye which consists of potentially MILLIONS of JUDGMENTAL STRANGERS. Holy cow. I never thought about that. Also My Benadryl is kicking in. Cheers!
