Depends on the dress code. The second 2 if it's a casual trendy wedding in the vein of her model friends. If it's a more traditional normal person wedding the first 2 are the best options. I wouldn't do the floral because the blue is a very common wedding colour and some people get mad at white dresses even if they have florals.

As a wedding photographer it totally depends on the wedding and the couple! I personally think the 1st yellow dress is great for a daytime warmer weather wedding, just bring a cardigan in case it’s needed. Some of the other options may be a bit riskier depending on the couple- or just perfect if they’re fashion people like you!

Really? I have never had that problem, bride is usually the best dressed, no matter what. Others don't put in as much effort. But again I'm South Indian so our culture could be different. Usually girls wear pavadais, women wear saris and the males wear veshtis. Bride is beautifully dressed in anything. It could also be because we're not very into makeup culture, and brides usually do heavy makeup.

As a wedding photographer, I LOVE when guests wear their best dresses. I think it shows respect to all the hard work the couples put into designing the wedding, making sure you put in effort as well. IMO, unless you are straight up in a wedding dress then you are not “showing up” the bride bc she’s THE BRIDE!! @@Victoria-mn8nz that is true, but I feel like if you’re unsure about what to wear or what is appropriate (e.g. you’re a plus one and you don’t know the bride(s)/groom(s) particularly well, or they never specified if you are to be bold with outfits or that you can wear white), then it’s better to blend in whilst still looking great, than to wear something that will divert attention and end up coming across as rude and cause upset 😊

Yellow definitely. Grab a cardigan or cute blazer if you're worried about it being too form-fitting. Option two would work for a really formal wedding, but i don't think any of the other would for a typical wedding.

So the main "unwritten" rule of wedding attire is that you want to look nice but not pull focus. If you're walking around with a bikin top to the dress with your whole midriff out, or are wearing something so short it barely covers your bottom...those are a hard no.

1 or 2. I'd say 2. Rule is to never wear a two piece to a wedding, always show off one bit of skin if any. Never two parts of skin. If you show off your legs, cover your chest and back, etc. And keep it to what you would wear to church with the pope's grandmother. You never know how religious the extended family is. Never outdo the bride. Never go shorter than your robe is.

Plus, some ppl follow ancient wedding rules like “DONT SHOW SHOULDERS!” Or “IF YOU WEAR WHITE YOU TRY TO BED THE GROOM!” Like what the heck, relax. One sister asked me if she could wear a strap dress (hot month so it would be “naked” shoulders”) and I looked at her funny first because I had NO IDEA of those dumb rules. My best friend also had a beautiful dress “but it was part white, was that okay😓” .. uhm… yes? Why not??? Then they told me all those rules and I just barked out laughing, I found it so ridiculous, but some REALLY like those traditions so I respect them for other ppl’s weddings but mine was just “wear what you like” 🤷‍♀️😅 (we were wearing low key formal ourselves but we wanted ppl to feel comfortable while melting indoors 😅)

Option 2 is the most wedding appropriate. I don’t go to many either but usually weddings want you to wear something that isn’t too short and revealing. That includes belly button, shoulders to some extent, (REALLY depends on the weather ) cleavage, etc. It can take attention off the bride and just in general, to formal places it’s best you wear something longer like option 2.
