To sync the PS4 controller you have to enter into pairing mode by pressing and holding the PS button AND thee share button at the same time, this will start the controller flashing, then you press and hold the little button on the 8bitdo and thy will pair.

Just an FYI for those who have (or get) the original 8BITDO brick USB adapter, it will work with PS classic if you flash it using the PS classic adapter's firmware (just did my Brick one to V1.26).

I bought my 8bitdo specifically for this and my analog sticks are only being recognized in the autobleem/retroarch UI menu's. Basically everywhere else but in game LMAO. Every video i have seen has shown nothing else being done in the settings and my controller should just work right out of the box without having to change or fiddle with anything. What am i missing here?

I remember getting the ps1 when it came out. Tbh analog stick functions sucked ass back in the day. It wasn't until the ps2 that the games mostly required the sticks my only thing is how small the controllers are without the sticks xD never knew about these adapters though this changes the whole system for me now!

Granted, but there's some games (Ape Escpae, Tony Hawks' Proskater) that REQUIRE analog sticks, and if you're trying to add those to a hacked mini-console, you're not going to be able to play them at all without analog-stick controllers

I know that the PS button on the DualShock 4 Controller is mapped to the reset button on the PlayStation Classic which is used to return to the PlayStation Classic menu as well as suspend the game you are playing. Does anyone know if the touch pad on the DualShock 4 Controller is mapped to anything? The touch pad is also it's own button after all. It would be very convenient if the touch pad was mapped to the open button so that you can push the touch pad to change Virtual Discs from where you are.

Have bought one. Was disappointed that it’s not for 360 controllers. Only newer Xbox 1 controllers work and couldn’t get my ps3’s to connect which it says does work. But I’ve had success with a third party Wii one through a Wiimote. Which has got to be better then the far to short leaded controllers that come with the classic.

Yes it does. Push share + up button for three seconds. Then restart the controller. Now it is in the correct mode (vibration + analog sticks) all of this using the dualshock 4.

Hi, when using this on Ape Escape it still says there is no analog controller plugged in. And trying other games with the analog stick, it seems it doesnt register analog control but rather act as the d pad does (8 directions). Anyone knows how to enable the analog ?

You have to connect the 8bitdo dongle and DS3 to a Windows PC and use the app. Unsure if there is a procedure with linux or mac. I recall having to update the first time but it wasn't too tedious or time consuming.

​@@robertpatterson1037 With the original one you had to download a program and plug the adapter into your PC to sync it to a PS3 pad the first time. If you didn't get a manual with the new version you can download the old one from the 8bitdo website and it explains how to do it.

I tested the DS3, DS4 and the Xbox One Controller. All work incorrectly in Bleemsync. With the help of the original control, I entered the settings menu and all these controls mentioned are recognized as Microsoft X-Box 360 Pad. El Ansioso sadly no. I have a memory stick for extra games and you can’t use 2 controllers and a memory stick. I’ve tried USB extenders to add extra USB ports and it doesn’t work. If you’re playing games from a memory stick you can only play single player games
