Thanks Kelly, yes there are many themes that recur in ancient legends. For example, in one of the many tales of Tom, he has a friendly fight with a character reminiscent of Little John from the robin Hood legends. Well, I have been doing lots of filming over the summer, but no time for editing. I will post more in the winter when work is not so stressful.

@@Seany63 Good to know! Greets from a lifelong denizen of a neighbouring county (Nottinghamshire) Back in the 70's when I was a kid my family used to holiday in Mablethorpe. Enroute, my sister & I always looked for the 'Lincolnshire Water Tower', which meant we were getting close to our destination.. Would you perhaps know where that might be located? I've been looking for it recently on google maps & can't seem to find it.. Thanks and regards, me! :)

Hi again Sean buddy, could I ask you where you get most of your info from? Would love to start doing research my self as it’s very fascinating to me🙂 also could you recommend any good books for history/folklore/hauntings in Sheffield/ South Yorkshire ? Thanks in advance mate
@Seany632 жыл бұрын
Hi Alex, well a good place to start is your local library. Most libraries have a local studies department where you are sure to find books on local history and folklore etc. There are many haunted places in South Yorkshire the Stocksbridge bypass springs to mind so there must be lots of info online. Well, sadly most of the books that have helped me have been out of print for many years now so they will be very hard to find. I hope this has been of some help Alex? Happy hunting.👻👻
