I love finding out about these little games that are tucked away, but I wish Morph put a link in the description so we could easily - and reliably - find the lesser known ones.
@gingerweasel28 ай бұрын
I came to the comments for the answer, luckily the developers commented! "Echoes of the Plum Grove." I agree it would be very helpful if it was in the description. Looks like it's not available on Steam yet, there was a Kickstarter and the supporters got Beta keys, so maybe that's how Morph got it.
@missdire8 ай бұрын
Yea, I caught the name of it, but sometimes Googling the name of a game doesn't provide reliable links, and I'd like to know that the site I go to is the legitimate site and not some rip-off/scam. Even if said site was just the kickstarter and not necessarily the Steam, Itchio, etc. Y'know what I mean? 😕 Hopefully it'll come to Steam soon! Thank you for the help! 😊
@Ket2468118 ай бұрын
It was in the description and the title of the game was displayed on screen within the first 30 seconds of the video at 0:18 If y’all put as much time into doing your own research and using “Google,” which is free, as you do commenting that you need a link because you can’t be bothered to go look yourself…you would’ve got your answer.

I once fell into a roaring creek while my family was visiting friends of ours who live on a farm. I got carried through and eventually a family in a neighboring farm found me and rescued me. I woke up in their house surrounded by them not knowing what had happened! Eventually they figured out who I was and my family got me at the end of the day! It was wild. I still don't swim till this day!

Thank you for making cozy videos. Going through a major loss right now, and in my grief I have lost all sense of time, I can't stay focused on anything, but cozy gaming videos on around me even if my brain insists on dissociating is really helpful and calming, and when I manage to pry my brain back to reality its nice how conversational you are, it sort of feels like being in the room with the most understanding helpful friend, who is happy to carry on the conversation even if I'm fading in and out of a thousand yard stare.

2:04 Actually, trips from Europe to America would take about 6 months, it wasn't until the invention of the steam powered ship would it decrease to around 6 weeks, and even then, since steam engines were not as developed, some would still chose non-steam ships, because they wouldbe bigger, so the steam ship companies themselves saw to it that speed was the major thing, and with inventions in iron working ships could take that 6 weeks down to 72 hours or a little more, about which time shipping building also switched to iron/steel, which would allow unprecedented (for back then) luxury and travel, even for the third class.

When my mother had just had emergency surgery I discovered a horribly injured kitten outside my front door. My family was in turmoil already and there I was bringing in this tiny kitten that all my neighbors had ignored, but I couldn’t just leave the lil guy out there to die. I also couldn’t keep him since I already had a cat and he hates other cats, so I kept him in the bathroom with a litter box and food until I could take him to a shelter and get him some help. Lil dude needed his own emergency surgery for sure. So yeah, sometimes we have to help out people or animals that everyone else has ignored, and it’s definitely hard when you have so much else on your plate, but if you don’t do it you’ll likely regret it. Wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I chose not to help him, tho I’m sure my family would’ve preferred that😅

28:26 Pemmican from what I can tell is not bread, but (usually) a mixture of dried, ground meat; tallow(fat), and sometimes a bit of crushed cranberries. Its basically the ancient equivalent to MREs. They last for a long time, they're extremely rich in calories and proteins, and they're easy to carry. The one downside is that they are not the healthiest thing to eat, so you'll still get stuff like scurvy on a diet of pure pemmican. The caveat is that pemmican is a global food item, and eventually people started making other forms of it. There's dog pemmican to feed dogs, there's pemmican that has cornmeal and sugar replacing the dried meat, there's ceremonial pemmicans, etc. In case you were wondering, the reason I know so much about pemmicans is because I saw it in a few games and just now looked it up on wikipedia for 5 minutes, so as you can guess I am basically a world expert in it now. You should totally take anything I say without a singular grain of salt.

Pemmican is dried meat joint together with fat, it was invented by the first nations, previous to the joint Iroquoi confederacy, they'd usually put berries along with the dried meat too. It was used for long journeys or simply as a way to conserve meat for longer. In pre hispanic mesoamerica, the natives used another conservation method called "Charki" where they would pile meat and a whole lot of salt under the sun, tastes quite like Jerky (which sounds like Charki, maybe there's something to this, as the preparation methods are similar). I suppose the first nations also probably knew about the preparation of Charki from the mesoamericans, but honestly, pemmican sounds a lot tastier.
