Thats a nice piece of work. To make it easier I just clamped a piece of wood to my adjustable fence.
@MadNerdWorkshop4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Art and yeah that would absolutely work. The reason I like this a little more is that there is not fence for the small pieces to get caught between. Of course, all you really need to do is clean them out every little bit so there is no build up. Thanks for watching.

You will have to explain... when I attach a piece its just for reference... I then drag my workpiece past the clamped piece so there is no chance of getting pinched between the blade and fence (or clamped piece). So explain (please) how your way is better. I'm NOT trying to be an ass! I'm still a newbie and just want to understand. Thank you

Sorry Art, maybe I misunderstood. I was thinking that there was a piece of wood attached to the fence (lets say it is 3-inches long). That would be at the start of the fence where you would push you wood up against it. Then as you push the wood forward to the blade and make the cut, you would have a free floating piece of wood (finished piece) sitting on the right side of the blade. But the fence runs the full length of the table on the right side of the blade. Now as I picture it in my mind, you will have a little distance between the fence and the cut piece of wood and the blade. Now if you keep making cuts, those pieces would build up and eventually expand out to touch the fence. Of course to avoid that, all you would have to do it clear them out every few cuts. Now that is what I was thinking, if I understand your setup. I did not mean to make it sound as if I thought one was better than the other, both methods will work perfect. Sorry if I came across that way.

Great saw stop. Do you have any plans that I might be about to get? I tried to build another stop and it is terrible. Ron
@MadNerdWorkshop Жыл бұрын
I do not, but I just followed the directions on: www.segeasy.com/sawstop.pdf. with a little deviation.

Hi, just came across you video on the adjustable stop. Nice job! I’ve made the wedgie sled. Gonna make your stop. You got any tips on how to increase the size of the next size of a segment, for the next ring? I know there has to be a easy way, I just haven’t figured it out yet. Thanks

I would like to make the saw stop but cannot find the runner that expands in the table slot. Can you help me out?
@MadNerdWorkshop5 жыл бұрын
Sorry Stephen, I should have added a link in the description, it is there now. You can also click on this: amzn.to/2SIPaBB I like the Powertec miter slot runner because it does expand when I tighten down the knob and keep the stop in place. Have fun with it.

Do you have a cut list for the saw stop?
@MadNerdWorkshop4 жыл бұрын
Sorry Randy, I do not, but I can tell you the bottom piece is 4 1/2 x 12 1 /2 and the top piece is 3 1/4 x 12 1/2. Hopefully that will help.

I just discovered your channel today and subscribed. You do quality projects and great videos! Do you have a video on how to make the wedge sled (I think that iswhat you called it)?

Thank you Lisa, very glad to have you here. Sorry to say, I did not record my build on that. But this is the video I followed when building mine. Also check out Segeasy.com, he has instructions on how to build it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqGpf3hneK2mmZY

Sorry to say Robert, I do not. I use many of the Segeasy products and I basically modified the one he has on this website: www.segeasy.com/downloads.htm But I can tell you the bottom piece is 4 1/2 x 12 1 /2 and the top piece is 3 1/4 x 12 1/2. Hopefully that will help.
