She doesn't have a British 'accent'. She speaks proper educated American English, and always did. She lived in England for 8 years and picked up some of their terms and inflections. That was a decade ago and doesn't come out in conversations nowadays. I suppose living now in Lisbon will add a new 'accent' to her speech patterns, we' ll see though.
