Madonna is a true superhero of mine: just a gorgeous genius and a great activist, in my honest opinion (and a badassbixch haha ❤). This is one of my favorite eras of any musical era in herstory, periodt, because she didn't back down from standing up for her beliefs and she's still giving us life to this day. We need more of that courage nowadays, more than ever, really, but thank the Universe for Madonna. Long Live Queen M and love you Bennie! hahaha 🥰💝😘💖💙💜

G'day it's Steven here again It was December 1993, we attended two of the Sydney concerts, it was an absolutely brilliant concert. I recall at one of the two concerts we attended that the people sitting behind us were commenting that they attended the U2 concert a couple of days earlier and the sound quality at that concert was poor. The clarity and quality of the sound was at The Girlie Show was excellent and the thumping bass could be felt by the crowd. I might also mention that the music interludes are also an opportunity for Madonna to refresh and change her wardrobe. All hail the Queen of Pop!

Haven’t seen this interview in a very long time. Love her answers and her whole posture during the interview. Like you said, she is so confident in her skin, and so open about all those subjects considered tabu back in the day. Ageism, whoa. Talking about right timing to watch this. I guess one of the reasons I’ve always been drawn to her is her intelligence and acceptance. Watching her brings me confidence I might not have. I don’t know she just feels like a wise older sister I just look up to. So clever. Love that you are loving these Madonna interviews. Great watching these with you!

One of her best interviews. This is not the only time she will ever get interviewed by Johnathon Ross. She was interviewed by him in 2003 and again in 2015! I also loved that she talked about Ageism. But Madonna still being Madonna will do things on her own term. The amount of hateful comments that she is getting on social media is absolutely disgusting telling her to retire grandma your irrelevant ect ect. She is one of a very few icons left and as you will hopefully see in an interview in 1995 she talks about when Elvis and Marilyn Monroe were alive in the last few years everyone was no mean to them then when they passed everyone praises them on how amazing and talented they are. And it is still happening now look at what happened to Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston. In there last few years they both got a very hard time in the press but when they both passed away the media and general public all kissed up to them about how legendary they were. Too bad they weren’t doing it in the last 10 years of their time on earth. I’m a huge Madonna fan and I don’t like every thing she has done but I will always remember the strength, courage and enjoyment she has given me since I became a fan way back in 1998 when ray of light came out!!

I am praying that you will react to the Girlie Show!?! ❤️❤️ This is the first time she took a tour to Australia. The show recorded is in Sydney. Their is a Japanese show recorded as well but the Aussie crowd is so much better and she is in a great mood on this show.

I love your Madonna content so much. I've been a fan since I was about 7 (24 years ago) and watching your videos reminds me of when I used to go to KZbin when I was in my teens to watch her interviews and any music I missed. I find these videos exciting because I love watching people react to her stuff for the first time and your videos are the very few who don't over react.

Alanis said that she learned that night how to deal with her fans because M was really kind and signed autographs and had little 30 sec chats with everyone. Alanis said that Madonna was also really kind and gave her a gold Rolex watch as a Congratulations for the success of the singles and her first album. ❤❤

So very pleased to see you react to this I was thinking you had missed it and it's by far my favourite interview of the period. Just for some further clarity on the catty comment Madonna makes about Jonathon wearing Mugler. Apparently Madonna was a fan of Mugler and wanted him to dress her for a music video but he had an issue with her often collaborating with Gaultier and demanded that if she work with him it had to be exclusive i.e. she wouldn't wear any other designers. This obviously pissed her off, hence the comment 'I would probably wear less of his clothes if I were you' lol

She is such liberal spirit and freedom fighter. Such a shame people didnt want to hear it at the time and focus on other things and not get her message at all. LGBTQ+ and women really need to appreciate what this women has done for the liberation of us. Very intelligent woman.

I guess the best Madonna interviews are the ones with an interviewer she appreciates. If the interviewer does have some intelligence she sees it, and the result is usually gold. Stupid questions and lazy background work usually fires back. And I understand her. It would be devastating sitting with journalists all day long who ask questions about your favourite colour or bra size.

what ppl forget abt madonna is that she is highly intelligent. she was a straight A student, has an IQ of 140 (132+ is genius level). ppl who underestimate her intelligence very quickly realise their mistake. 40 yrs of interviews and no one managed to outwit her or get her her on the backfoot.
